Thursdays
Wine Shop Events
- October 2nd - Welcome Fall! : Though we're always sad to see the weather change from warm to cool, we're always excited about the new wines that colder temperatures call for. The change in temperature also brings a change in cuisine, so we'll offer some recipe suggestions to pair with our exciting selection of new fall wines.
- October 9th - Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Lots of winemakers use their talents to raise money for worthy causes. We'll be pouring selections whose wineries make a donation for every bottle sold to various breast cancer research charities. You'll feel even better about buying these tasty wines!
- October 16th - Spain's Best Values: Wine Spectator ranked Europe's best values in their October 15th issue. Spain has always been one of our favorite spots for value and quality, so we will examine a few of the Spanish wines Spectator says provide the best bang for the buck. Also included (for the tapas lover) - a sampling of Divina olives and olive 101.
- October 23rd - Port 101: Paul has declared this winter will be "the winter of port", so we'll get started early with an introduction to the basic styles of port. Included will be the new arrivals from Kopke - we're very excited to feature these delicious wines.
- October 30th - Halloween Spectacular: It's one of our favorite holidays, and we look forward to this tasting all year. Taste wickedly good wines with spooky names and devilishly good prices! Costumes welcome!
