  Loaves and Fishes Food Drive

   

  Loaves and Fishes Food Drive

  Looking for a way to help a needy family this holiday season?  Now more than ever there are families in Naperville needing assistance through food banks.  We'll be running a food drive starting November 10^th with all items going to the Loaves and Fishes food pantry.   We'll be proving pre-made bags to purchase holding thanksgiving staples as well as lists of items and special diet products that the food pantry is looking for.  Look for our food pantry information sheets at the front of the store.  Food donation drop off is at the front of the store or customer service.  Thank you for helping a local family in need. 

   Loaves and Fishes is a Naperville based food pantry serving families in and around Naperville.

• Monday, December 1st

  Special Celebrations/Holiday Specialties w/Chef Ron

  7pm $35 Sign up at Customer Service

   

  Create a special dinner party or holiday meal using special recipes created by Chef Ron for the Holidays.  Chef Ron will demonstrate how to make sautéed Wild Caught Scallops, Baked Stuffed Shrimp, Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Wild Mushroom Burgandy Sauce and Roast Duck with a sweet and sour cherry Sauce.  Sample the delicious array of items Ron creates tonight. 

   

• Wednesday, December 3rd

  Holiday Appetizers with John Godo

  7pm $30 Sign up in advance at customer service

  Learn a unique and delicious array of holiday appetizers for entertaining.  Chef Godo will demonstrate how to prepare Pate a Choux (both sweet and savory examples), Puff Pastry Pissaladieres (french Pizza appetizers), Roman stuffed mushrooms with prosciutto, garlic, parmesan, sage and bread crumbs,  Filo Wrapped Figs With Pernod (Anisette flavored liqueur) and mascarpone and Shrimp Cocktail with Gin Infused Cocktail sauce.  This class will be followed with a festive appetizer tasting with Italian spritzers.  Class size is limited so sign up early.

  Nature's Holiday: Wreathmaking & Fresh Centerpieces

  2-5pm Free

   

  Fresh Holiday and Centerpiece Demonstration

  Stop by our produce department and learn how to create simple and natural centerpieces and wreaths using limes, fresh berries, greens and other natural items.  If you love the simplicity of a natural home and table, take a quick moment for some ideas and tips.  Sip on some mulled cider, take a holiday breather and enjoy the aroma of fresh cut holiday greenery.

  Holiday Brunch Cooking w/Chef Ron

  The children were nestled all snug in their beds while visions of sugarplums danced in their heads.  Now what?  Create a memorable make ahead holiday brunch!  Learn how to create Ron's signature Crème Brulee French Toast, Easy Egg Casserole and Oven Roasted Garlic and sea salt potatoes.  Enjoy a taste of holiday breakfast after the demonstration!

   Join us for a delicious sampling of Holiday Table items along with specially selected holiday favorites that are high on taste quality and value.  Stop by our culinary center and learn about herbs and cooking for the holidays with Gail Maki of Herbal gardens.  We'll have live music to inspire you and a cute little kids tasting for that special little Whole Foods Market holiday shopper.

  As a special thank you to all of our customers, we're dressing things up and putting out the best and most creative samplings and tasting with entertaining in mind.  Join us for a festive special event where you'll taste the best of every department perfect for cozy days and nights with family and friends as well as large events or take with appetizers.  It's our way of thanking our customers and celebrate the season in style with live music and top notch tastings around the store including a special wine table featuring select wines and and cheese pairings.
