JOIN THE SCHOOL LUNCH REVOLUTION!

Don't pass the buck to the next generation.  Spare a buck now to support school lunch reform.

In many schools highly processed foods are standard fare.  Join us in giving schools the tools they need to reform their lunch programs.  Your donation will help Sprouting Chefs provide the opportunity and resources for older teens in the Vancouver Lower Mainland area to learn the true value of food and its origins in a high school cafeteria setting.

Donate at the register today at any of our Capers Whole Foods Market locations in the Vancouver Metro!

Community 5% Days

On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days. If you would like to apply for a grant for our 5% Day, you can request an application from our Guest Service desk. Once you have completed the entire grant process, return it to the store for consideration.

Global community

While our store donations provide the backbone of our community giving, we also give back to the larger national and global community. Our Whole Planet Foundation fights poverty through micro-lending in rural communities around the world. We provides a good deal of the funding for the loans and underwrite the administrative costs so every dollar donated goes directly to those who need it most. We also support projects that relate directly to organics and environmentally-friendly production methods, animal welfare, sustainable seafood, and healthy families and nutrition. Additionally, if the need arises, we coordinate donations at the cash register for regional or national disasters.

Overall, our community giving well exceeds 5% of our total net profits each year.
