Community Giving
At Whole Foods Market, we are committed to being a strong, helpful presence in our communities. We do this by forming relationships, making donations, supporting local businesses, and working to better the neighborhoods of which we are a part.
We encourage all of our shoppers to buy local goods. We stock nearly 300 of them, from locally-grown produce to fish caught off the Massachusetts coast, from cookies & breads baked in Boston to tomato sauces from Somerville, from eggs from a Hubbardston farm to candles & soaps that are homemade less than 30 miles from our store. By choosing these products, you'll help us to encourage the growth of our collective community. You'll also help to keep our environment clean, as local goods require less fossil fuels for shipping.
Whole Foods Market Charles River Plaza is currently an active member of the West End Civic Association, the Beacon Hill Civic Association, and the Beacon Hill Business Association.

Take Action!
Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.
Coupons at Checkout
We offer coupon programs at the checkout, along with other stores in
the region, to provide our customers with a convenient way to
contribute to groups that need their financial support.
Community Events
We work with various other local businesses around town to lend a hand
at many community events. Priority is given to community groups and
organizations, schools and children, health and environmental causes,
and local organizations serving people in need.
Donation Requests
We welcome donation requests from non-profit groups who work to improve
our local community or the environment. We especially seek to support
environmental and educational associations, as well as groups working
for hunger relief and sustainable agriculture.
To request a donation, you must obtain a Donation Request Form from our Customer Service desk. Please submit the completed form with a formal letter of request and a copy of your organization's 501(c) 3 form stating your tax-exempt status from the IRS. All donation requests must be received at least six weeks in advance of the date needed and must include the appropriate forms to be considered.
If you are:- a Boston-based business with goods you'd like us to sell in our store
- a local non-profit organization (must be 501c3) in need of a donation
