'Tis the season for holiday-themed tastings!  Get ready for guests with meal ideas, wine tastings and a homecaring clinic, and don't forget to entertain the kids by reserving a group story time (see the Weekly Happenings section).  Plus, make holiday entertaining easy by placing an order from our Holiday Table (located in the Prepared Foods department) or online.

  Taste each of our Top Ten picks perfect for holiday gatherings and specially priced for stocking up.  Located near the cheese and wine departments.

  Recyclery Bike Sale

  10 a.m. - 11 a.m.

  It's The Recyclery's last public sale of the year!  Come early as bikes sell out quick.  The Recyclery is a collective that seeks to build community through the restoration of donated and discarded bicycles.  Located in our parking lot.

  The time has come to impress your guests.  Our expert Specialty department shows you how to pull out all the stops for holiday entertaining.  Located near the cheese counter.

  Beajolais Nouveau est arrive!

  5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

  Beaujolais Nouveau is released on the third Thursday of November every year.  2009's vintage is said to be the best in years - taste for yourself!  Located in the wine department.

• Saturday, November 21

  Clean Homes for the Holidays

  1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

  Clear up clutter before holiday guests arrive.  Whole Foods Market Evanston South hosts a community shred, along with all-day electronics recycling and a special homecaring workshop.

   

  12 p.m. - 2 p.m.: Community Shred

  Located in the parking lot; limit 2 boxes paper per person.  All participants will be entered to win a Blissful Home gift basket!

   

  2:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.: The Zen of Homecaring

  $15 in advance, $20 at the door (includes one full-size bottle of Blissful Home, plus entry to win a Blissful Home gift basket) Located in the café.

  Savitree Kaur and Mahandeva Crown (Co-founders, Blissful Home) will lead you to explore and challenge what homecaring is (and more importantly, what it isn't).  We discuss how we incorporate homecaring into our lives, how the sacred space we call home is an extension of who we are, and how homecaring can pave the way for healing, connecting and transforming into our most authentic selves.  Please sign-up and pre-pay at the Customer Service desk by Friday, November 20.

  Parents, teachers and child care providers, join Bridget from Whole Foods Market and Maggie from Happy Baby as we read our favorite food-themed story books!  Free snacks and coloring provided by Happy Baby and Clementine Art Supplies.
