World Record Attempt
Both Stores, 3pm FREE
Parmesan Cracking Across the Country
Breaking into a wheel of our 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano is like "cracking open happiness." There is a centuries-old art to opening the cheese wheels by using official tools (five different types of knives) so the internal crystalline structure and crumbly texture is left intact. To honor this tradition and celebration of this beloved cheese, cheesemongers at our 270-plus stores will attempt a Guinness World Record by demonstrating the traditional method of breaking into hundreds of wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano simultaneously. Shoppers are invited to witness the shot at "Most Parmigiano Reggiano Wheels Ever Cracked at the Same Time," and to enjoy samples and pairing ideas.

Feel Good About Whole Foods
Whole Trade Guarantee
The Whole Trade Guarantee (WTG) program helps combat poverty in developing parts of the world by assuring that there are better working conditions for workers, sound environmental practices, and producers are getting an equitable price for their goods. Once the products are sold at our stores, 1% of the retail price goes to the Whole Planet Foundation for poverty relief. We sell WTG products year round, every day. From Feb. 3rd - Mar. 3rd, we'll be highlighting delicious options that make a difference.
Whole Planet Campaign
More than 1 billion people live on less than $1 a day. Whole Foods market addresses this reality through microcredit, raising $1 million dollars annually to support micro-lending projects. Join us in empowering entrepreneurs in the global community by donating to the Whole Planet Foundation from February 17 to March 31. 100% of your contribution goes to micro-lending programs in Africa, Asia, and Central America. Donate $5 and receive a free Chocolate Bar; donate $35 or more and receive a free Thank You Gift Bag with goodies (while supplies last).
One Dime at a Time
Whole Foods Market offers 10¢ per bag to customers who reuse their own bags. Customers can accept their refund, or direct the cashier to donate the cash to the store's chosen non-profit - through the One Dime at a Time program. This program reduces our impact on the environment and supports a local non-profit.
The two Indiana stores are delighted to support January, February and March's recipient: Indiana Action for Healthy Kids. Action for Healthy Kids is the nation's leading nonprofit and largest volunteer network fighting childhood obesity & undernourishment by partnering with schools to improve nutrition & physical activity to help our kids learn to eat right, be active every day, and be ready to learn. The Indiana Action for Healthy Kids (IAHK) Team provides resources to Hoosier schools to create viable wellness initiatives. Through their largest initiative, IAHK annually awards schools through the Healthy Hoosier School Award.
