  • Wednesday, March 17th

    Taste of Saint Patrick's Day

    FREE

    Celebrate Saint Patrick's Day with delicious food and drink.  

    Get green and save green with great grab and go Bragh treats throughout the store! In our Prepared Foods Department we've got Baked Potato Soup, Fingerling Potatoes with Leeks, and Shamrock Slaw- ask for a taste! We're sampling Wellshire corned beef brisket and organic cabbage from our Produce Department in the Meat Department and Guiness and KerryGold Killaree Cheddar with KerryGold giveaways in the Specialty Department. Try some delicious festive treats in the bakery too!

    Spring Fever Fling

    11am-2pm FREE

    We've got Spring Fever! It's contagious and we want to spread it around with a Spring gala event. Join us for some Health StartsHereTM recipes in our Produce Department , sample our fresh seasonal items throughout the store, join the detox information session by local raw foodies in theWhole Body Department, get green Spring cleaning tips from Blissful Homes in the Grocery Department, and learn to preen a green lawn with local experts Greenwise.  Go green for spring!

    Vegan Dinner- Comfort Foods

    6:30 pm $15 per person

    Whether you're a veteran vegan or just looking to incorporate more plant-based foods into your diet, we'll show you some inventive and delicious recipes during this hands-on cooking class.  Learn to make and then indulge in some of your favorite home-style dishes...vegan style. This class is for ages 15 and up. Registration is required at least 24 hours in advance.  Please register online.

    Green Egg Hunt

    11am-2pm FREE

    Bring the kids in for an Earth hour inspired egg hunt. Get greens, save green and go green! Hunt for the veggie-egg pictures in our Produce Department that match the veggie-egg pictures in our March/April Whole Deal while you shop for Sure Deal savings. Stop by the café from 1pm-2pm for natural egg dying and ideas to reduce, reuse, and recycle for green party decorations.  Grab your Green Egg Hunt Guide (the Whole Deal) in the foyer and sign up for Fl@vors to win a holiday gift basket.

    Earth Hour! Go Green, Get Green Tour

    8:30-9:30pm FREE

    We are open! The lights are dimmed for an early celebration of the 40th Earth Day. Join in and turn off your lights, leave the car at home, and walk, jog, bike,or take public transportation to Downtown Evanston to celebrate Earth Hour at Whole Foods Market®. Take our Go Green, Save Green Tour: grab some late night snacks around the store as we discuss how simple changes can help preserve the Earth and help preserve your budget.  Find out how you could win some green (in the form of a Whole Foods Market gift card) and save some green with money back on your groceries with a simple green choice. No registration necessary, just meet us at the Customer Service desk.

    Easter and Passover Tasting

    11am-2pm FREE

    Don't get stuck inside for the first days of the Spring sunshine and miss spending time with a house full of guests. Plan to spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying the holidays. Our Easter and Passover Menu is available at our Prepared Foods Deli.  Tempt your taste buds with samples from the menu in our Prepared Foods Department and then place your order with the Catering staff.  Look for more holiday inspired and seasonal fare throughout the store.

    Study Break! Team Trivia

    7pm-8pm FREE

    Take a break from the books and show off what you know.*  Whole Foods Market Evanston North will be hosting a Team Trivia night in our café at the front of the store.  Teams are limited to four people.  Please arrive by 6:45 to register your team.  Prizes will be given to the winning team.  Don't forget to save room to snack on some Pizza while you play, just $8.99 on Wednesdays for a large 1-topping pizza!

    Seed Money: Community Support Day benefitting SAGE

    We're planting the seeds for a sustainable future!

    Save your shopping list for our 5% day and give the gift of fresh produce to kids throughout Evanston and Skokie as we team up with our sister store, Keep Evanston Beautiful (KEB) and Students Actively Gardening in Evanston (SAGE).  5% of the day's net sales will be donated to KEB, which manages funds for the edible gardens at Evanston-Skokie District 65 public schools.  Purchase a special Botanical Interests seed packet for $1 to donate to the school of your choice to get them started.  Check back for a full list of the day's free activities, coming soon.

    Story & Snack Time

    Join us in the café at the front of the store every Second Tuesday of the month as Evanston Public Library presents a special story and Whole Foods Market makes a tasty treat for the little ones to snack on.  Registration is not required -just meet us in the café!

    Gluten Free Cooking Expo

    Mark your calendar to join Whole Foods Market at the Wyndham Lisle for the Gluten Free Cooking Expo.  This fun, friendly and entire gluten free event features culinary demonstrations from professional chefs includes printed recipes so you can follow along, take notes and ask questions about successful replacement ingredients for common allergens, plus admission to the vendor fair and lunch.  For complete details please visit gfreelife.com

    Please note, to guarantee your place in a class you must register online.  Registering is easy- simply register online at https://www.acteva.com/go/WFMEvanston.

    Cancellations

    To cancel a class reservation please contact our Classroom/Events Coordinator at 847-733-1600. A full refund will be credited to you if you cancel within 24 hours prior to the start of the class.

    We regret, if a class has an insufficient number of participants, it will be canceled 24 hours prior to the start of the class. Whole Foods Market will contact you by phone regarding the cancellation. You will receive a credit for the class that may be redeemed for an in-store gift card or may be used towards another class.  While we apologize for any inconvenience, may we suggest to please tell your friends and family about the great classes and experiences you have at Whole Foods Market to avoid any cancellations.

Private Cooking Classes

Whole Foods Market in Downtown Evanston offers private cooking classes to groups of up to 15 people (adults and/or children).  This is great for a family activity, birthday celebration, book club, office party, etc.  You bring us your ideas for a menu, and we'll put everything together for a beautiful, perfectly paired meal.  The level of the group's participation in the cooking process varies depending on your comfort level.  Book your cooking party.  Contact Buffy Feinstein by phone at 847.733.1600 or email: buffy.feinstein@wholefoods.com.

Kids Cooking Classes and Birthday Parties

Whether for a birthday party, back-to-school celebration, or scout/brownie visit, our parties entice and excite the pickiest eater! We provide a fun environment for kids to cook in while learning about nutrition and kitchen safety. Party goers eat what they make and go home with goodie bags and balloons. Our parties range from $200-$225 for ten children, with a $12.50 charge per each additional child.
