    Louisiana's food intertwines with its culture in many delectable ways. Traditional Louisiana cuisine has its roots steeped deeply in French, Spanish, African and Native American techniques and ingredients. Join our favorite Southern dame Sarah Linblad as she shares with you her favorite traditional Louisiana dishes. Sarah originally hails from Ruston, Louisiana is pleased to share her passion for her native cuisine!

    Today's menu includes:

Join Whole Foods Market Fort Collin's favorite Fish Monger AJ Bailey as she takes you through a tour of some of her favorite seafood dishes. AJ is passionate about introducing her family and friends to new flavors and experiences and she is excited to do the same with you.

    Whole Foods Market Fort Collins is pleased to present the work of local artist Rolfe Bautista; Join us for an opening reception on our café; Friday, March 12th 5:30-7:pm.

     

    I use a variety of materials. My motto is I'll use anything in order to say what I have to say. I usually paint with acrylic paints and do drawings and illustrations where I use plenty of materials, but I use a pen and ink method the most.

    Join New England native Brie George on an East Coast culinary breakfast adventure!  Brie's menu is inspired from a childhood spent enjoying the diverse New England seasonal bounty. Brie's family lineage can even be traced back to the Mayflower and she is excited to share her love of coastal cuisine with you!

    Today's breakfast will include:

    -Vermont Country Breakfast Strata with Cheddar Cheese and Blueberry Sausage

    -Johnny Cakes with Maple Nut Butter and Seasonal Fruit

    -Back Bay Lobster and Egg Sliders with Herb Crème Fraiche

    -Newport Style Sweet Tea

    *For an additional donation to the Whole Planet Foundation guests can receive a copy of Ainslie Turner's cookbook. Ainslie is Brie's mother and she still owns and operates the seaside restaurant Skippers Dock with Brie's brotherPublished by Mystic Seaport the book is a collection of New England recipes that span many categories from breads, stews and of course...seafood!

    Learning how to pack the most nutrients into every meal is the key to long-term health and wellness. Join Wellness educator Jill Chodak as she explains the concepts of a nutritionally dense lifestyle.

    Tonight's menu will focus on the 4 healthy eating principles; Plant, Whole Foods, Low Fat and Nutrient Dense and includes:

    -Italian Kale Salad

    -Cranberry Quinoa Pilaf with Cranberries and Almonds

    -Savory Tofu Wraps

    -Fruit Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

    Regional Italian Cuisine

     Explore Italy's rich regional cuisine with Whole Foods Market Fort Collin's very own Chris Morgan. Chris is passionate about authentic and traditional food techniques from around the globe. Chris apprenticed and worked at Il Refugio in Naples, where he gained a further appreciation and working knowledge of Italian cuisine. Students will be invited to help roll out the meal's highlight Gnocchi di Patate! Tonight's menu will be served in a typical Italian style sequential order.

    Tonight's menu includes:

    -Antipasti Misti-Chef's choice; From various regions of Italy

    -Il Primo-Gnocchi di Patate; Neapolitan Style with Tomatoes and Basil

    -Il Secondo-Cosciotto di Agnello; Tuscan Style Lamb with Spring Peas

    -Il Contorno-Ciambotta; Roman Style Roasted Vegetables

    -Il Dolce-Macedonia; Mixed Fruit

    Learning to bake with Alternative Sweeteners is a great way to control your sugar intake without sacrificing flavor! Join our very own Alternatively Sweet Baking Goddess Lynn Weiser as she shows you how to make some of her favorite baked goods! Lynn has been a professional baker for over 13 years; 7 years at local favorite Maggie McCullough's and for 6 years at Whole Foods Market. Some of Lynn's amazing recipes are soon going to be baked for the entire Rocky Mountain Region's Whole Foods Market stores (they are that good!). Lynn's class will be hands on for those that like to play in the dough! Participants will taste all the items prepared in the class as well as take home goodie bags.

    Today's menu includes:

    -Maple Currant Scones: They sound simple, but are unbelievably delicious

    -Everything Cookies: These include Almond Butter and Agave

    -Alternatively Sweetened Cherry Pie with a 3-Grain Crust: This crust is beyond flaky!

    Thai Cuisine is something that we all love and wish we could make, here is your chance!Our very own Vilai a native of Thailand is going to share this mysteriously divine cuisine with you! Vilai's menu promises to be memorable as she will prepare 2 traditional Thai entrees as well as a dessert. Vilai is also an accomplished fruit and vegetable carver and she will be demonstrating some of her techniques!

    Tonight's Menu Includes:

     -Kung-Sa-Rong (Shrimp with Egg Noodles)

    -Street Noodles

    -Khanom-mo-Kaeng Pheuak (Taro Coconut Custard)

    Showing your love through food is one of life's simple pleasures. Having a repertoire of recipes that are guaranteed to please can sometimes be harder, until now! Join California native Cody Flores as shares his perfect Date Night meal recipes with you. Cody's casual approach will inspire you to share these impeccable recipes with your sweetheart! Cody was a Sous Chef at Jonathon's at Pierano's Mediterranean Cuisine in Ventura, California; where he wrote menus featuring seasonally and locally harvested ingredients, before moving to Colorado in 07'.

     

    Tonight's menu includes:

    -Chopped Mixed Green Salad with Marjoram Wine Vinaigrette

    -Grilled Polenta Cake with Goat Cheese and Habanero Peach Preserves

    -Pistachio Szechuan Pepper Crusted Ahi with Mushroom Risotto and Pomegranate Reduction

    -Mascarpone Stuffed Dates with Honey and Citrus

    Children's Acting Workshop

    10 am- 12 noon $20/ limited to 16 students/ ages 8-18 only please

     Join Megan Guidarelli for an acting workshop that is centered on imagination and play as it concerns the actor. Megan will cover the basics from improvisation, character, movement, basic scene work, tricky tongue twisters, and (most of all) the fun of the theatre! Megan is a Senior Theatre and Creative Writing major at Colorado State University. Megan also teaches a Performance Class at the University and has extensive performing experience. Light snacks will be offered.

    A Journey to Spain Through It's Cheeses

    3 pm-5 pm $38/limited to 24 students

    Simply eating some of the world's greatest cheeses is fun all by its self, but having a guided tour by passionate cheese enthusiast is spectacular! Join our favorite Cheese Monger Shannon Brennan as he shares his extensive knowledge of Spanish Cheeses and their accoutrement's. Shannon recently spent 4 months in Madrid as part of a study abroad program that furthered his already impressive mastery of cheese. Taste some spectacular cheeses as well as learn about Spanish culture in this dynamic class!
