Refunds, credits, or transfer of classes will not be honored for no-shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours before event. All events are subject to change.  Classes with low registration may be cancelled. Any classes cancelled by Whole Foods Market will be refunded.

    The Lunch Club: New Themes!

    12 - 1 pm $10

    Watch and learn as your very own private Chef prepares a delicious lunch while teaching you how to use a variety of fresh, organic and local products that we hand select from our stores everyday. This is the best lunch deal in town, for only $10. And you get to go home with the recipe! After 10 lunches the next one’s on us. This month we will feature some new themes:  Monday’s menu is Latin-American. Wednesday’s menu is Vegetarian. Friday’s menu is Italian.

    Easy Summer Cooking: Quiche (Hands-on)

    Quiche is a traditional French savory pie, perfect for just about any meal and is both satisfying and nutritious. This is a hands-on interactive class, so reserve now and come learn

    Passport to Specialty: All About America

    7-8:30pm $15

    One if by BEER, Two if by CHEESE! We'll go on a taste bud tour of America and trek cross country from Boston to Seattle sampling some of America's most fantastic cheeses and beers. After you leave this event you will be familiar with some of the many beers and cheeses that have put America "on the map" in the global food industry!

    Red White And Blue Cake (Hands On)

    3-4pm $18 per cake

    Get-togethers are as much a part of July 4th as fireworks and hot dogs.  We'll be making a patriotic cake decorated with blue and red berries that you'll be able to take home and enjoy at your Independence Day party the next day.  Come by alone or with some friends and start your holiday fun with us.

    Friday Night Fish Dinner: Summer Scallops Wrapped In Bacon

    6:30-8pm $18

    Come join us for this classic favorite which is a perfect compliment to your 4th of July picnic party! On the menu: Bacon wrapped scallops served with sautéed asparagus and lemon-dill orzo salad.  Complimenting wine will be served.

    In The Kitchen: Intermediate Knife Skills

    3-4pm $20

    Sharpen your skills in the kitchen and learn safety, usage and cutting tips. Today's lesson is breaking down a whole chicken. Bring your own boning knife - hands-on demonstrations will be featured.  Please transport your knives safety. Space is limited to 8 attendees.

    Cooking With Grains: Buckwheat

    3-4pm $10

    Buckwheat, colored by husks left in during the milling process, is commonly, used for making pancakes and waffles. The distinctive nutty flavor of buckwheat can be pleasing to the palate, especially when compared to other, more mild flours. We'll show you how to incorporate buckwheat into your healthy lifestyle.

    Cooking Fresh and Healthy: Local with Laura

    Preparing meals using local ingredients not only helps the environment but also helps you to use the freshest produce and products available. Come sample and learn about which local products are available this time of year and get some great recipes to take home. This class will feature the newest local produce and products in the store as well as a store tour showing you where to find everything!

    While edgy food trends go in and out of style, bistro style remains every popular.  It's a style that takes basic, often inexpensive ingredients and turns them into comfort food at its best.     Cooking Empanadas (Hands-On)

    Flour shells with various fillings, empanadas are a great hand held treat.  Explore and sample a variety of these delicious stuffed pastries as we experiment with different types of dough's, fillings and cooking methods.     Bean Cookery: Black Beans

    Know as frijol negro in Spanish and feijão preto in Portuguese the black turtle bean has a dense, meaty texture and flavor reminiscent of mushrooms, which makes it popular in vegetarian dishes.  In this class you will learn new ways to enjoy this old standby.

    Learn how to get the most for your money while shopping at Whole Foods Market. We'll take you on a tour of the store; teach you how to get the best value for your dollar, and how to spot great deals on our aisles.  We'll also sample some great items that incorporate our Private Label products.  All attendees will receive a bag to take home that will include a few samples.  Class is limited to 10 attendees and registration is required.

    Date Night: Hawaiian Luau

    Tonight's Luau will be slightly different from a traditional luau eaten on the floor but still just as delicious! So, bring your date and enjoy the wonderful feast. On the menu: Kaluha pork, salad with papaya dressing, veggie lo mein, ginger carrots and pineapple upside down cake.

    Homemade Breads: Popovers!

    3-4:30pm $10

    Popovers have a hollow center with soft insides and crispy outsides.   The name "popover" comes from the fact that the batter swells or "pops" over the top of the muffin tin while baking. They can be served for breakfast or you can use them in place of dinner rolls. They're really great for any occasion.

    Dinner with Season's 52

    Enjoy an adult's night out and learn about one of our local restaurant, Season's 52.  Located in the Galleria Mall, Season's 52 focuses on meals that are the best for the appropriate season.  Using cooking techniques such as using open fire, their meals can have fewer calories than similar restaurant meals prepared a different way.  Meet Season's 52 chef Troy Beasley as he demonstrates some of Season's 52 secrets.  Complementing wines will be served.

    Kundalini Yoga

    In Sanskrit, Kundalini literally means "coiled". In Indian yoga, Kundalini is considered a part of the subtle body along with chakras (energy centers) and nadis (channels), and has many aspects in common with Chinese theories of acupuncture. This class features a dynamic blend of postures, pranayam, mantra, soothing music and meditation.

  • Kemetic Yoga

    $10

    Come and experience the yoga of the ancient Egyptians. Kemet is the original name for the enchanted land of ancient Egypt. Kemetic yoga aims to harmonize the energy centers of the body through the cultivation of life force as well as incorporating a series of postures aimed at enhancing balance physically and spiritually. Kemetic yoga also promotes the consumption of raw/living foods and we will treat you to a snack at the end of class!

    Kids Fun: Sea Turtles!

    Explore the wonderful world of imagination through a story and a fun activity. This month we'll be learning about sea turtles and the importance of conserving their environment. Our activity will be painting your own turtle suncatcher that you can hang in your window to remind you of the turtles you learned about. 

    All money from this event will go to the Museum of Discovery & Science's Sea Turtle Conservation project, which is also Whole Foods Market Ft. Lauderdale's 5% Day recipient for July.  The Museum of Discovery & Science will also have a representative on hand to speak to the children that day.  Don't miss out on this fun and education experience.  This class is for children ages 4 to 10.

    Some commercial pet treats are loaded with ingredients that aren't healthy for your favorite pooch or kitty.  Learn how to read treat labels and find the best ones for your pet.   We will also prepare a homemade treat for dogs and cats using healthful, natural ingredients like fruits and vegetables, including carrots and apples.  Tasty treat samples for you to take home to your favorite pet will be provided. This event is for human attendance only - please leave your pet at home.
