Community Giving

At Whole Foods Market Framingham, we are active participants in ourcommunity. We are proud of our community involvement and therelationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make adifference.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way wegive back to our community. On designated days throughout the year atotal of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profitorganizations. Customers help support our selected organizations justby shopping on these 5% Days.

Donations

Recent non-profit organizations we have supported, either through adonation of food or services, include The Danforth Museum, the LearningCenter for the Deaf, the MetroWest Humane Society, our localMeals-on-Wheels program, The Healthy Villi, The New England Wild FlowerSociety at Garden in the Woods, and Framingham's Summer Concerts on theGreen and many others. We seek to support organizations that reflectour own philosophies as a company. Environmental, education, health, local farms, and animal compassion are a few examples.

Besides our commitment to host four 5% Days each year, and directdonations of goods and services, we offer our customers the choice ofgiving to a local non-profit each month through our Register Couponprogram. At checkout tear off a coupon for the month's non-profit andthe amount, usually $2.50 and $5.00, will be added to your groceriesand your receipt will reflect your donation. Customers are also able to"buy" "Stop Hunger - Feed Kids Now" bags filled with child and familyfriendly and healthy foods. Each week the bags go to the MetroWest FoodPantry for distribution to the many families the pantry supports.

If your non-profit, 501c3 bearing organization would like to beconsidered for a donation, please stop by our Customer Service Boothand pick up a Donation Request Form. Please attach a copy of thegroup's 501c3 letter of tax exemption and we will review it.

Because we receive many donation requests each month, we requirethat you submit your completed donation form and 501c letter a minimumof 30 days before the date of the event. Submission of a Donation Request does not guarantee a donation will be given.

Community Involvement

Do not be surprised if you see us at local events such as healthfairs, health and wellness days at schools, and farmer's markets. It isour way of reaching out and talking to members of our community. We arealso happy to give store tours to any group that would like one. Someof the groups we have had in for a tour of the store and the story ofwhat makes our store like no other store in the area are scout groups, students learning about organic foods, as well as support groups fromnearby medical facilities.
