Whole Foods Market Fresh Pond Supporting the Community

Saturday, April 25, 2009 was the Charles River Watershed's annual River Clean Up Day. The Whole Foods Market Cambridge stores teamed up to help support the cleaning of the Charles River. It was a fun day in the sun! We also served lunch lunch at the River Street store for all the hard working Whole Foods Market volunteers along with our fellow Riverside Boat Club friends.

At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days. On Earth Day, April 22, 2009 Whole Foods Market Fresh Pond along with the two other Whole Foods Market stores in Cambridge donated 5% of the day's net sales to Charles River Watershed, totally $12,421.00
