Tours, Classes, and Events
We will be glad to arrange a free (individual or group) tour for you, with your needs and focus in mind. Whether it is an interest in the Whole Foods Market difference, special standards, and practices, or a value tour with money saving tricks and tips, or special diet concerns, we will try to accomodate your schedule and needs. Simply call or email with a date and time in mind.
Please be advised that we are fully booked for school tours through November and we have limited availability in December.

5% Day to benefit Cultural Tourism DC
8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Stock your pantry and Wine cellar for the winter and 5% of your total receipt will be given to CTDC to support some of their amazing projects in various DC neighborhoods.
Visit with staff members and volunteers, and find out about their numerous programs, as well as some of the wonderful member organizations that make this coalition a leading advocate for, and a broker of local, national, and international cultural heritage as assets for the city at large.
Look out for a more detailed schedule throughout the day of performances and other an art exhibition brought to you by local youth.

Recipes for the Chocoholic!

Tonight's three unusual recipes, created by Tania Hayek Mercer, will surprise and delight the chocoholic in you: Chocolate Covered Grapes, Mysterious Chocolate Pudding, and Raw Chocolate Hearts. A soothing bowl of soup warms both the body and the spirit and these soups have the added bonus of delicious and nutrient dense sea vegetables! Personal Chef Rachel Brumitt will discuss the nutritional benefits of sea vegetables and share three comforting, simple sea vegetables soups."

Community Gardens
Whole Foods Market is proud to partner with the DC Parks and Recreation by sponsoring the installation of one community garden at every recreation center in the 8 wards of the District of Columbia. The purpose of these 60 gardens is to promote community involvement, health, nutrition, environmental stewardship and community beautification. The Gardens are open to all community members with a focus on youth participation. It will provide the community with year round environmental education and the opportunity to discover the wonders of gardening. We will keep you posted as the construction of these gardens begin.
