Tours, Classes, and Events
We will be glad to arrange a free (individual or group) tour for you, with your needs and focus in mind. Whether it is an interest in the Whole Foods Market difference, special standards, and practices, or a value tour with money saving tricks and tips, or special diet concerns, we will try to accomodate your schedule and needs. Simply call or email with a date and time in mind.
Please be advised that we are fully booked for school tours through November and we have limited availability in December.

Mommy & Me: Halloween
11 a.m. Free
Join early childhood educator, Celia Cantor for story-time, song and craft. The kids will be making black cat mobiles. (Recommended for kids ages 2-5). Please sign up at customer service.
Saturday, October 31st
A Dog's Halloween
12-2 p.m. Free
Dress your family dog in costume and bring him along to this halloween event meant for the entire family at the Guy Mason Recreation Center. Best dressed dog will win a gift basket filled with treats, food, and supplements for a healthy diet. Start your "trick or treat" right here with special tastings and treats for kids and adults too. Costumes required!

A Taste of Thanksgiving
5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Free
Ah yes! It's Thanksgiving already. We will help you plan your Holiday meals and entertaining with menus, shopping lists, classes, store maps and guided tours. But first let's begin with a taste of a Whole Foods Market Thanksgiving: Our turkey is like no other, fresh and succulent, naturally raised exclusively for us and never frozen. Here's a chance for you to really taste the difference. Several offerings from our prepared foods department will be served as well, and Holiday table specialists will be on hand to take orders and answer questions and guide you through all the variations and options available, to satisfy your taste, special diet and budget.

Meet the Cheesemaker

Meet Allison Hooper, founder of Vermont Butter and Cheese Comany, while she speaks about her 25 years in a sustainable successful business in cooperations with a network of Vermont Farms. She and her business partner, Bob Reese, helped usher in the aritsan cheese movement in America. We will feature her book "In a Cheesemaker's Kitchen" as well as samples of her cheese, butter, and creme faiche.

Chakra Readings
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free
Dr. Judith, a Metaphysician and a pioneer in the field of Expanded Human Consciousness, will read the chakras of your body and give you a full diagnostic report of what she finds. Community Gardens
Whole Foods Market is proud to partner with the DC Parks and Recreation by sponsoring the installation of one community garden at every recreation center in the 8 wards of the District of Columbia. The purpose of these 60 gardens is to promote community involvement, health, nutrition, environmental stewardship and community beautification. The Gardens are open to all community members with a focus on youth participation. It will provide the community with year round environmental education and the opportunity to discover the wonders of gardening. We will keep you posted as the construction of these gardens begin.
