    There's a new farmers' market happening each week in the parking lot of Whole Foods Market! The market features a dozen local sellers offering all-natural meats, organic produce, milk, eggs, cheese, flowers, homemade canned goods and much more. Meet some of the wonderful folks who are growing and making delicious food right here in the Upstate. Rain or shine. Sellers include:

    Shopping on a Budget Store Tour

    3-4pm free, advance registration required

    Think you can't do "all of your grocery shopping" at one location? We're offering regular store tours to make your grocery shopping even more enjoyable, convenient and affordable. In previous tours we showed you how to stretch your food dollars, and now we're focusing even more on how to get the most BENEFIT from those dollars. More evidence emerges daily regarding the direct connection between what you eat and your heath. You can always get cheaper food, but at what cost to your health? Everyone has their own definition of "healthy", count on us for our strict Quality Standards that prohibit artificial additives and hydrogenated fats. Come ask questions, taste some samples and become more familiar with exactly what makes Whole Foods Market a truly distinct shopping experience and company! Advance registration required. Tours will begin promptly on time, so please don't be late. Participants receive a gift bag full of goodies!

    Did you know that the official state fruit of South Carolina is the peach? That's because it's the Tastier Peach State! This is the time of year when SC peaches are at their prime, and in abundance, so we're celebrating our treasured state fruit with all kinds of fun recipes, samples, events and even a visit from one of our local peach growers!     Our popular beer class is back with a great partnership with Foxfire Gallery & Kitchen Shops! Join us this evening as beer enthusiast John Byce, Beer Buyer at Whole Foods Market, shares his extensive knowledge of American Craft Beers. We'll feature summertime seasonals from ales to lagers and have something for everyone's tastes. Attendees will enjoy tasting of a variety of beers and a sampling of cheeses that pair well with them.     FHGRR is a full service rescue group dedicated to providing rescue and necessary veterinary care for unwanted, neglected, abused, homeless, and displaced golden retrievers. They strive to place rescued animals in forever homes.

    5% Day to benefit Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue

    Four times during the year we select a local nonprofit to receive 5% of the day's net sales. We work closely with the benefiting organizations to promote each day and make it successful. This time the benefiting organization will be Foothills Golden Retriever Rescue (FHGRR), a full-service rescue group dedicated to providing rescue and necessary veterinary care for unwanted, neglected, abused, homeless, and displaced golden retrievers in and around the Upstate area. They strive to place rescued animals in forever homes where they will receive a lifetime of love and care. Save your big grocery shopping for today and help support this deserving local cause!

    The Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale

    It's a massive used book sale to help raise money for the Greenville Literacy Association's drive to improve adult literacy levels in Greenville County. There are tons of books at the sale - fiction and non-fiction, modern and classic, hardbound and soft cover - all at great low prices. This year it's scheduled for Saturday, August 22, 2009. Whole Foods Market is a drop-off location for books you'd like to donate. Look for the donation bin near the front of the store. Donations accepted through August 7.

  • Upstate School of Sustainable Agriculture

    Are you interested in farming or gardening? This new school in our community may be for you! The programming is designed to facilitate farmers transitioning to more sustainable/organic operations, offer home gardeners educational workshops to produce more of their own food, and explore and disseminate research, ideas, innovations and changes in the dymanics of farming so that it is successful and profitable in our community. Classes and workshops are hands-on and conducted on-site at local farms in the Upstate.   • Event Registration & Payment Terms

    Register for and receive more information about store events by calling 864.335.2300. All in-store events are free of charge, unless otherwise noted. Registrations and payment for those events is accepted in person at the Customer Service desk up to 48 hours in advance of the event start time- sorry but no phone or online payments can be accepted and payment must be made at the time of registration.

  • Cancellations

    If a class has an insufficient number of participants signed up, it will be cancelled 24 hours prior to the start time. A store Team Member will contact you regarding the cancellation and any related refunds or credits. To cancel your registration in a class please call Customer Service at 864.335.2300.
