The Community Kitchen!

Our new food education center is officially open. Look to cooking classes for seasonal recipes, food tastings to try new and exciting products, and educational seminars for tips on bettering yourself and your diet. If you'd like to attend one of our informative classes, we ask that you sign up in advance at our Customer Service desk or by calling 215.481.0800. Seating is limited and we can only guarantee seating for those who have signed up in advance. We hope to see you in the classroom!

  Halloween Kid Fest

  Trick-or-Treating starts at 10 a.m. Parade begins at 12 p.m. Cost: Free

  Come in your Halloween best and celebrate at our annual store-wide trick-or-treating event. We welcome everyone from creepy monsters to beautiful princesses to visit each department for your next treat. Pick-up a free bag at Customer Service to collect all of your goodies. At noon we'll gather outside to start our costume parade around the store. (Bag supplies are limited and will be available to kids 12 years and under. Child must be present to participate. One bag per child.)

  Local Markets

  10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  The 2009 Local Market season is in full swing. Many of your favorite vendors will be back with their amazing locally produced products. We also have some new artisans that have already become customer favorites. Stop by each week for:

  • local produce (tomatoes, corn, squash, watermelon, greens, eggplant, okra, broccoli, cauliflower, beans, apples, cherries, peaches, and many other seasonal fruits and veggies)
  • honey
  • eggs
  • sauces & jams
  • pies
  • cider
  • perogies
  • kanishes
  • Greek specialties including baklava and spinach pie
  • plants & flowers
  • candles
  • soaps

  Are you looking for a hearty breakfast that’s tasty and healthy? Our Omelet Chef is here to help. Order your omelet the way you like, packed full of veggies or with scrumptious all-natural meats and cheese. Toss a slice of toast or a bagel on the side and you’ve got your day off to a terrific start!

Class Cancelations

We require a minimum of 5 people signed up in advance for each class. If the minimum is not achieved at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of the class, we may cancel. Please be sure to leave your phone number at the time of registration so we may notify you of any cancellations.
