Events

We offer an assortment of classes and events for all ages. If an event requires pre-registration, we ask that you sign up at least 2 days in advance at our Customer Service desk or by calling 215.481.0800. Seating is limited and we can only guarantee seating for those who have signed up in advance. We hope to see you in the classroom!

• Thursday, February 11th

  Community Recycling Day

  9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Cost: Free

  Bring your clean #1-#7 plastics for recycling. No Styrofoam, please.

• Friday, February 12th through Sunday, February 14th

  Dinner by Candlelight

  4-8 p.m. Cost: varies

  Cozy up with your significant other in our candlelit café. You can gaze across the table at her sparkling eyes and relax knowing that we've done all the cooking for you. Our menu will include several indulgent courses sure to inspire love. Place a reservation with a catering representative in Prepared Foods.  215-481-0800.

  Half Pints: Soup

  5 p.m. Cost: $5

  The chill of winter is still in the air. A great way to warm up after any outdoor activity is with a piping hot bowl of soup. Your little ones can create their own soup masterpieces using noodles, veggies, and other tasty ingredients. While the soup is cooking, we'll help the kids make a bookmark craft great for everyone's favorite winter pastime... reading!

  HappyFamily Preschooler Cooking: French Toast

  10:30 a.m. Cost: Free

  Kids love breakfast and French toast seems to be a favorite with all little ones. Trina from HappyFamily will help your preschoolers put together a healthier version of this old classic. Trina will also have a story and craft.

  Half Pints: Bananas!

  Bananas are delicious any time of year but there's something about this sweet, versatile fruit that conjures up thoughts of spring! In this class kids will go bananas over our no-bake banana cream pies. Each child will create their own delicious pie to take home or enjoy here. This is an activity your kids are sure to want to try again at home!

  HappyFamily Preschooler Cooking: Dirt Desserts

  10:30 a.m. Cost: Free

  Looking for a healthier version of the classic Dirt Dessert recipe that kids love? Then we have a great alternative that kids and parents will LOVE....you can serve this at the next kids party and everyone will be pleased!!! A story and craft will also be included.

• Wednesday, March 31st

  5% Giving Day

  Join us as we welcome a local non-profit organization. On this special day we will donate 5% of our sales to a local group working to support a cause.

• Tuesday, April 13th

  Blood Drive

  11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Cost: Priceless!

  Sign up for your time slot at Customer Service or by calling 215-481-0800. Walk-ins are also welcome. All donors receive a free goodie bag loaded with all-natural treats.

  It is important to remember that blood cannot be manufactured... the only source is you - the volunteer blood donor. When you give blood, you are doing one of the most amazing things anyone can dream of - saving a life.

  Your blood donation is very important to the health and welfare of hospital patients in our area, as the need for blood is never ending. Blood products play a vital role in saving the lives of:

  • Premature infants
  • Accident / trauma victims
  • Cardiac patients
  • Individuals undergoing chemotherapy for cancer or leukemia
  • Burn victims
  • Surgical patients
  • Hospital patients undergoing an organ or bone marrow transplant
  • Individuals suffering from aplastic or sickle cell anemia

  Although you may never know the recipient(s) of your blood donation, you can be assured that they and their families are extremely grateful.

  Meet DV Earth Force

  11 a.m. - 2 p.m.

  Representatives from Delaware Valley Earth Force will join us to talk about their important environmental youth outreach program. DV Earth Force is part of this month's Nickels for Non-Profits fundraising program and you can donate to this amazing group every time you reuse a bag! Learn more about the group and the Nickels for Non-Profits program.

  5% Giving Day

  On this special Earth Day 5% Day we will donate 5% of our sales to a local non-profit organization dedicated to helping the planet. Join us to learn more about what you can do to make a difference.

  HappyFamily Preschooler Cooking: Fruit Pizzas

  All kids love pizza, so why not use their favorite food to get some fruits and veggies into their diets? Trina from HappyBaby will help you little ones fashion their own fruit pizza followed by a book and craft.

Class Cancelations

We require a minimum of 5 people signed up in advance for each class. If the minimum is not achieved at least 24 hours before the scheduled start of the class, we may cancel. Please be sure to leave your phone number at the time of registration so we may notify you of any cancellations.
