  There's no better way to try new natural and organic foods than to stop by Lakeview for Taste of Thursday.  Let us inspire your palate with delicious deals from around the store!

• Saturday, July 11th

  "Hot Dogs" and Grilling

  1 p.m. FREE!

  Join out furry four-legged friends from New Leash on Life, an entirely volunteer run, nonprofit organization committed to finding loving homes for shelter dogs that might otherwise be euthanized.  We'll also be sampling succulent flame grilled foods that would be the perfect addition to any barbeque!

  Kids in the Kitchen: Picnic Time!

  11 a.m. $10

  Chef Lissa will show you how to pack to perfect summer picnic.  Finger sandwiches, fruit salad, and veggies with dip.  Don't forget to pack a blanket!  We ask that children under 12 must be under adult supervision.

  Summer Bounty Cooking Class

  6:30 p.m. $20

  Based on what is the freshest and in season, from primarily local producers, René Rich of Learn Cook Eat will create some easy to prepare summer dishes.  The menu will be decided the day of the class!

  Kids in the Kitchen: Campfire!

  11 a.m. $10

  If you're going camping this summer, you've got to know how to make smores, make franks and beans, and trail mix.  Chef Lessa will help you make a wonderful camping feast!  We ask that children under 12 be supervised by an adult.

  Greyhounds Only

  12 - 3 p.m. FREE!

  Come meet some fantastic dogs from Greyhounds Only, an all volunteer-run non profit that seeks to find loving homes for retired racing greyhounds.  Volunteers and dogs will be in our parking lot with tails wagging, so stop on by and learn all about them.

  Tapas Cooking Class

  7 p.m. $15*

  A tribute to Spanish small plate dining, This demonstration class will feature a selection of simple tapas style dishes, each paired with Spanish wines.  *The cost comes in the form of registering for the class and buying yourself a $15 gift card that you can use to your liking.

  Gluten Free World Tour: Mexico

  7 p.m. $10

  With summer temperatures on the rise, enjoy some great foods from south of the border that will put you in a tropical mood!  Menu items being prepared include home made gluten free tortillas, Mango Salsa, Chicken in Rose Petal Sauce and a Peach Enchiladas for dessert.  Samples & recipe tips provided.

  Indian Cooking Class

  11 a.m. $20

  Join Chef Susan of Cardamom Kitchen LLC for a class on South Indian cuisine. She'll be featuring her aunt's delicious coconut and chickpea curry! Great for anyone interested in dairy free and gluten free cooking. Class includes a recipe packet and tasting.

  Beer School: A Midsummer Night's Brew

  7 p.m. $10

  Join resident beer geeks Chris and Scott from our Specialty department for a journey through delicious beers that are perfect for enjoying on a summer evening.  A range of brews will be tasted and paired with funky fresh foods that will elevate your taste buts to an ethereal plane.  Did someone say beer ice cream?  Cheers!
