• Tuesday, November 17th

  Beer School: Old World vs. New World: Battle of the Belgians

  7 pm $10

  There's no argument that Belgium produces some of the most intriguing beers the world has to offer. With about 100 different styles, a rich brewing history dating back thousands of years, a strong well organized brewers guild, and a lifestyle focused on beer and food the Belgians have taken beer to the ultimate level.  But aren't Americans the best at everything?  When it comes to Belgian beers American craft brewers have put forth their best effort in mimicking, reinventing, and crafting new and interesting Belgian style beers.  In this month's beer school Chris and Scott with put Belgian and American beers head to head in the ultimate Old World vs. New World showdown.   Cheers!

  How to Make Holiday Appetizers

  The holidays are coming and so are all the festive parties. In this class, René Rich of Learn Cook Eat with teach you different things to serve or bring that you can prepare in advance. All of these travel well too!  Menu includes Salmon Ceviche, Tomato and Eggplant Relish, and Pea Crostini.

  Gourmet Holiday Cooking Demo

  12 pm $15

  Whole Foods welcomes back Chef Christopher Tong of the upscale Chicago-based private gourmet dining service, My Private Chef. He will present a cooking demonstration in the on-site classroom that includes hands-on participation.  Menu includes Pumpkin Coconut Bisque and Macadamia Nut crusted Turkey Breast Medallions with Apple Cranberry Sauce, roasted Root Vegetables and Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes.

We'll provide the frosted gingerbread house and candy, you bring the creativity! All ages are welcome. $19.99 per house (includes frosted gingerbread house, Hammonds Candies and royal icing)
