    5th Annual Ice Skating on the Plaza

    10:00 am - 10:00 pm $10.00 includes skate rentals

    Join us for our most exciting holiday attraction, Austin's first and only outdoor ice skating rink on our rooftop plaza!  The rink opens Friday, November 27th and is open every day except Christmas through Sunday, January 17th

    Tickets are $10 per person, which includes skate rentals.

    Skating hours are 10:00am - 10:00pm, with the last skating session starting at 9:00pm.

    Special Hours:

    December 24th - 10 - 7
    December 25th - closed

    December 31st - 10 - 7
    January  1st   - 10 - 8

    • Sessions begin each hour on the hour and run for 50 minutes, with a 10 minute ice maintenance time to follow.
    • Tickets will be available for the same day skating sessions on the plaza, beginning at 9:00am. Limit 10 tickets per guest. Absolutely no advance day ticket sales will be offered.
    • Tickets are only available at Whole Foods Market downtown Sixth and Lamar location.
    • 40 people maximum capacity on ice. Skate sizes range from Junior 9 to Men's 14. Because it is a small rink, we only have a limited number of skates in each size. We discourage planning large parties for this reason.
    • We are not offering private party bookings - for a large event please contact our Catering Center at 512-542-2209.

    Healthy Eating through the Holidays

    10:00 a.m. Free!

    Celebrate the season by nourishing yourself.

    Join Mary our Healthy Eating Specialist for a free mobile class.  Learn about what foods to ensure that you stay satisfied and well nourished through the holiday season.  Plus, Mary will address ways to easily prepare and plan your meals even when you are busy and on a budget.  Not only is this a great way to find out more about many of the foods available at Whole Foods Market that you've never tried, but this is a great activity for the family and guests during this busy season.

  • Tuesday, December 8th

    Local Growers' First Frost

    5:00 - 10:00pm

    As part of Edible Austin's Eat Local Week, join us for a special holiday event with all proceeds benefitting Urban Roots!  Skate for a 50 minute ice skating session and skate rentals for only $10.  We'll feature many GoTexan local vendors in the store, and have live entertainment and refreshments on the rooftop plaza.

    Cheese Please!

    6:30 pm Free!

    Join us every Wednesday evening at the Wine Kiosk for Cheese Please, a free, casual and informative tasting for you to enjoy four different cheeses and their perfect pairings, could be wine or beer.  No reservations required!

  • Saturday, December 12th

    Join us for an informal session in which we'll compare and taste wines of different grape varietals. Learn about specific characteristics to look for in each variety and how to pair with foods. Any and all wine question are encouraged!

  • Sundays

    Beer 101 at The Beer Kiosk

    12:00-1:00 p.m. Free

    Beer styles and flavors are just as varied as wine and cheese. Do you know the difference between a Pilsner and a Porter, or an American Pale Ale and an India Pale Ale? We have just the thing for the beer-curious! Join us for an informal session of tasting and Q & A with our resident beer buff!
