Community Giving

Support Whole Foods Market’s Small Change Adds Up charitable program today!  When you bring your reusable bags to pack your groceries, you receive 10 cents off your purchase for each bag. Now you can make that small change go even further by choosing to donate your bag refund to Long Island Cares (www.longislandcares.org).

Long Island Cares provides emergency food where and when it is needed, sponsors programs that help families achieve self-sufficiency, and educates the general public about the causes and consequences of hunger on Long Island. Working in partnership with other charitable agencies to fight hunger in Nassau and Suffolk Counties,  The Harry Chapin Food Bank is Long Island's First Food Bank and together with Community Outreach Programs such as New Paths to Achievement and Job Training makes Long Island Cares one of the New York Region's most comprehensive hunger action organizations.

So, remember to bring your reusable bags, because small change adds up and gives way to change in our local community and global landscape. Thank you for your donation and for shopping with Whole Foods Market Manhasset!

5% Days Make A Big Impact!

At Whole Foods Market Manhasset, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

During our most recent 5% Day we raised $4,569 for the Vincent Smith School.

Vincent Smith School This private day school was founded in 1924 to provide a small, supportive educational setting for reluctant learners and students with special educational needs. While the environment is caring and supportive, their goal remains to provide a well-rounded education, and they hold their students to both high academic and social standards.

If you would like to be considered for one of our 5% Days, please send a proposal and a copy of your group’s 501(c)3 form to:
