Community Giving

At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

Our last 5% Day was held on April 7th for Earth Share of New Jersey, a non-profit consortium of 25 local and 35 national environmental organizations that together work to preserve and protect our land, wildlife habitats, water and air.

 Donations

We support a number of local organizations within our community and vicinity. To request a donation, you may download our Donation Request Form or pick one up at the Customer Service Booth. You must submit this completed form along with a formal letter of request outlining specifics of your event and a copy of your organization's 501(c)3 form (the letter from the IRS that confirms your tax-exempt status). Donations are most often made in the form of products or gift certificates. All donation requests must be received 45 days in advance of the date needed and must be complete to be considered. Requests should be submitted to Susan Henderson, Marketing Team Leader, and may be mailed to or dropped off at the store or faxed to 732-758-1680.
