Let's Cook, Kids! Cooking Naturally with Mom and Dad
1:30 p.m. for ages 3-5. 4:00 p.m. for ages 6-9. $15.00/class or $40 for the four month series. Please register with Customer Service
Join Wholesome Kids Cook at Whole Foods Market Middletown for a unique cooking workshop just for kids and their parents. Parent and child will explore the wonderful world of food using all-natural and organic ingredients. From learning where foods come from to how healthy foods nourish our bodies, child and parent alike learn the value of choosing healthy foods and how to enjoy preparing and eating them together. Through this hands-on workshop series, children will also learn basic cooking skills such as mixing, measuring, cutting, and kitchen safety. Classes last approximately one hour and parent or other adult is required to attend with child. Each child will receive a Wholesome Kids Cook recipe card and ring to collect recipes from each workshop. At the first workshop on March 9th, we will cook up whole grain pancakes and make an apple dipping sauce!

Join chef and avid foodie Peter Battaglia for this exciting series as we explore the regional cuisine of Italy. This evening we will sample two dishes: Spaghetti con Vongole Verace (tossed with cockles and fresh herbs) and Bigoli con Gofgonzola Dolce (with swiss chard and sweet gorgonzola).

If you plan to enjoy your prepared food selections in our café, we welcome you to use our reusable green bowls and save a container! If you are taking your selections home, our brown containers are compostable!If you bring your own shopping bags, you receive a 10 cent discount for each bag used for your groceries. You can also bring back all your used plastic bags and put them in the bag bin for recycling, even if they are not from Whole Foods Market!
