Friday, March 26

6:00-8:00 pm | $35

With Chef Ani

Simply put, everything is better with bacon. Most of us will throw it on a sandwich or have it alongside some eggs at breakfast, but bacon can be included in any course of a meal- from appetizer to yes, that's right, dessert. Bacon has all the best things going for it- quick cooking, great texture, smoky, salty and slightly sweet. Bacon gets a bad nutritional rap, but it's not that bad for you, with about 6 grams of fat per serving. If you're a certified or self-proclaimed bacon-a-holic, this is the class for you. In this class, you will learn the differences between different types of bacon, the chef's secret for bacon cookery and enjoy a five course bacon banquet prepared by Chef Ani. Pre-registration is required. On the menu:

These days, if we want mayonnaise, mustard or ketchup, we look to the refrigerator door to provide that deliciousness, but even 50 years ago, people had pride in their homemade condiments. Though it may seem like extra work to make your own condiments, they add divine flavor to many meals and can elevate even the humble sandwich to a new level. They also make excellent gifts for the discerning foodies in your life, and can be customized to suit your taste. We will tackle ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, pesto, vinaigrette, horseradish and more. The kitchen is your laboratory.
The French are the masters of two of my favorite things: cooking and eating, and nothing says "je suis en Paris" like the small plates of the French bistro, and no time is better than spring! The French table draws influence from the countryside and the seashore and celebrates ingredients such as olives, fresh herbs, and of course, more cheeses than you can count. French bistro fare is elegant, richly flavored and an excellent choice for a romantic evening for two.
