Summer Picnics and Grilling

Pick up our Fire Up The Grill (Field Guide to Summer Grilling) and This is What Summer Tastes Like (Field Guide to Summer Entertaining) for tips and  recipes.

If you don't want to cook, pick up ready made delicous items in our Prepared Foods Department or consult with our Catering Liaison to order your meal for a picnic or party.

Our June/July Whole Deal brochures have 25 money-savings quick tips, 9 budget recipes, and more than $30 in coupons, i.e. $1 off coupon for home made potato salad.

Try a Whole Foods Market Feed Bag to use for your Summer fun and picnics (purchase of one bag provides lunch for 100 children in Rwanda).

Don't forget we have charcoal, compostable tableware and more for your summer fun.

    Half Pint Treat Tuesday

    All Day Free

    Each week there will be a different department featured. See Customer Service to get a wooden token good for one treat from the featured department.Children will receive a treat from that department and an activity page from Customer Service. When they return the completed activity page with their name and age to Molly any Tuesday they will get a surprise. Children up to age 10(accompanied by an adult) may participate. Only one treat per child, per day please.

    Join Zeke, our demo specialist, or a member of the Seafood department, for some delicious fresh fish samples in front of Seafood and get their terrific ideas and recipes while you watch them prepare their delicacies.Come see what's fresh and fabulous!!

    Half Pints Friday (in the Cafe)

    10:30-11:30 a.m. Free

    Join Molly in the Café to register your kid/s. Kids receive a gift bag the first time they register and have a chance to pick a rubber duck for a prize every week. They get their official Half Pint Club card and use it in various departments to receive free samples every Friday between 10:30 and 11:30 am. 10:30  is story time in the Café. Join Molly for all the fun! No groups please.

    Staff from The Day School at Baltimore Hebrew, will read a summertime story to the children and then they will complete an arts and crafts project that relates to the story.

    Local Farmers' Market June 10th-October 28th

    Join us for our 3rd season. Bigger and better this year, wel have more vendors, some of your favorites from last year and some new and exciting products.

    Our Inaugural Market, June 10th, had an Iron Chef-Mt. Washington Whole Foods Market style with two chefs and four judges, two professional chefs and two Whole Foods Market judges. It was a great event and we will have two more this Farmers' Market season using local products. Join us on August 19th and September 23rd to watch the fun!

    Mt. Washington Mill merchants have specials going on every Wednesday for the Market like Holly G, 10% off ,Taharka Brothers-buy one pint of ice cream and get one free, and more at other merchants.

    Doggie Adoption and Giving Grill:Co-sponsored by the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS)

    Giving Grill to benefit BARCS 11:00am-5:00pm

    Join us for a chance to meet some adorable adoptable dogs from BARCS. This is your chance to not only meet and greet dogs that need to find homes, but also to become their new owners! Representatives from BARCS will be on hand to answer questions and hand out applications for adoptions.  We'll be grilling hamburgers, veggie burgers and more to benefit BARCS.  Join Zeke for delicous burgers, chips and drinks for a great cause!Co-sponsored by BARCS.

    We'll meet in the Cafe and then go on a tour. Learn to shop at Whole Foods Market on a shoestring budget and get valuable tips to stretch your food dollars. Molly will show you some of her favorites and share recipes-you'll get to sample along the way and receive a goodie bag to take home. Hurry and pre-register. These tours fill up fast.

    Sushi Making Class

    7:00pm in the cafe $10.00

    Join us for a hands-on sushi making class taught by our friends from Genji. You will get your own mat and all the ingredients to make several different kinds of sushi. You'll get one on one instruction and you get to take your delicious sushi home. This class fills up fast so  register early!

    Space is limited. Please register at Customer Service and pay for your class at least 48 hours in advance. Bring your receipt when you attend the class and you will receive a $10 Whole Foods Market gift card.

  • Nickels for NonProfits

    Bring your bags everytime you shop here and Whole Foods Market will give you a nickel back for each bag or a "Wooden Nickel for Nonprofits" which you can deposit in either of two slots of our Nonprofit deposit box as a donation to Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital or Hopewell Cancer. When the box is full we'll write checks to both groups.

  • Thank You for your Support of our 5% Community Day

    You shopped with us on Tuesday, June 23rd and supported Bridges at St. Paul's. We donated $4285 to the program.

    Our next 5% Day will be on September 1st to benefit the Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital's Weigh Smart Program.

If your local 501c3 not for profit organization is holding a fundraising event and is in need of a donation, please complete a donation form at least 4-6 weeks in advance of the event and attach your 501c3 letter. Donation forms are located at Customer Service.
