Culinary Center Calendar

Whole Foods Market Napa Culinary Center is a premier hands-on culinary learning facility in the heart Napa Valley. We offer a wide variety of classes and lectures incorporating Whole Foods Market quality standards and top-notch culinary expertise. Whole Foods Market Culinary Center is also available for private events, one-on-one instruction, team building, product launches, book signings and other community events.

  • June 25th and 26th

    Wine Bar Tastings-Domaine Carneros

    5:00 p.m.-7:00p.m. $2.00 per/tasting

    Outstanding sparkling wine and pinot noir, now using exclusively organicly grown fruit.

    From the Carneros district.

  • Thursday and Friday July 2nd and 3rd

    Wine Bar Tasting-St. Supery

    5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. $2.00

    Representatives from the winery will be in our wine bar for pouring and answering any questions. Take advantage of this great value and the great wine pours.  Straight from the St. Supery winery in Oakville, Napa Valley.

  • July 9th and 10th

    Angeles Wine Co. at the wine bar

    5:00-7:00 $2.00

    Meet Bill Craig wine industry veteran extrordinair who will be presenting wines from the Angeles Wine Co.  Wines to be tasted will include V-Solo Verdejo and Tres Ojos Garnacha from Spain.

     

  • July 16th and 17th

    Hendry wine bar tasting

    5:00-7:00 p.m. $2.00

    Taste the outstanding from the Hendry vineyards, located near the Whole Foods Market in  Napa Valley.

    Meet Susan Ridley from the winery who will delight you with details concerning the origins of various Hendry vintages.

  • July 23rd and 24th

    Bogle Vineyards in the wine bar

    5:00-7:00 p.m. $2.00

    Taste the wonderful, great value wines from the Bogle vineyards.

    Wines will include the Bogle merlot, old vine zinfindel and cabernet, created from vineyards in Lodi, Sonoma, Clarksburg, and Amador.

    Meet James Eichel of Bogle Vineyards, and Kyle Sevy from the Henry Wine group who will be presenting the wines.

  • July 30th and 31st

    Winesellers in the wine bar

    5:00-7:00 p.m. $2.00

    They will feature Rudolph Miller Bunny Riesling, Tiamo Pinot Grigio and Sangiovese, and Fireroad Sauvignon Blanc.

  • To cancel a class, please contact Customer Service at 707.224.6300. Seven days notice is appreciated, but a full refund will be credited if you cancel within 48 hours prior to the day of the class. Any cancellations left on the e-mail or faxed into the store will not be honored.

    Please sign up for classes early.  Whole foods culinary center has the right to cancel classes 24 to 48 hours prior to a class due to insufficient enrollment or instructor illness. Whole Foods will contact you by phone regarding the cancellation. You will receive a refund or Credit.

Private Cooking Classes

  • Whether you are looking for a unique team building activity for your business associates or a way to celebrate a special occasion with friends and family, the Whole Foods Market Culinary Center is the perfect venue to host your very own private cooking class. You and your guests will cook your way through a complete menu in our hands-on classes. Or if you prefer, sit back and relax as a chef prepares your meal in our demonstration-style classes.

  • Hands-On Classes

    Classes take place in our hands-on kitchen where students work in groups, guided by a chef instructor, to prepare the chosen meal from start to finish. Classes last two hours and culminate in a family-style meal.

    • 8-person minimum/15-person maximum

  • Demonstration Classes

    Classes take place in our demonstration kitchen. Guests learn preparation techniques and tips as a chef instructor prepares the entire meal in front of the class. Classes last approximately two hours and guests enjoy the dishes as they are prepared.

    • 10-person minimum/20-person maximum

  • Chef's Table

    This format offers guests a great meal paired with wine or beer, some cooking demonstrations and some time to network. Tables are set in a casual manor to encourage conversation among guests.  $65.00 per peerson.

    • Meals served with a selection of house wines unless otherwise indicated.

  • Cocktail Party

    Have fun making delicious appetizers.  Hands-on: $59.00 per person.

    • Spring Rolls with a Spicy Chili Sauce
    • Goat cheese and cranberry triangles
    • Crispy bacon knots
    • Corncakes with smoked salmon
    • Potato pancakes with seared tuna and citrus salsa
    • Spicy pork empanadas
    • Coconut chicken skewers with mango chutney
    • Roasted red pepper and almond dip

  • Savor the Season

    Summer is here. Demonstration: $65 per person.

    • Creamy pea and tarragon risotto with shrimp
    • Baby arugula salad with lemon confit and ricotta salata
    • Seared chicken breast stuffed with gruyerre and prosciutto and sauteed asparagus
    • Fresh berry tart with vanilla auglaize

  • Wine Country Dinner

    Come Wine and dine with us. Demonstration: $59 per person or Chef's table: $59 per person

    • Lemon confit and frisee salad with ricotta salata
    • Creamy wild mushroom risotto
    • Seared Salmon rustic whipped red bliss potatoes served with a beurre rouge sauce
    • Apple and pear crisp with Vanilla Bean Gelato
