Free Tours

Have your kids expressed an interest in touching a squid? Are they curious about how to cut up a 75 pound wheel of cheese? Our informative 30-minute store tours are a perfect introduction to healthy eating.  Our stand-alone tours are provided free of charge to groups.  Please reserve your time by contacting Patti Fell, via email only at patti.fell@wholefoods.com .  We only take a limited number of requests each month.

Kids' in the Kitchen Classes

Each month, we hold cooking activities and classes for all ages. Check the calendar available in store or online.

Private Classes

Perfect for school and scout groups!

Children who are looking for extra experience in the kitchen can design a private cooking class for their group with the cooking theme of their choice. Private cooking classes range from $15-$25 per child (minimum of 8 students, maximum of 16). Your child will go home with new skills and recipes to use in the kitchen. Any of our birthday party themes are available as a private class or work with our instructors to design your own.  We also offer a special private class with a healthy eating theme for scout troops looking to earn their badge for healthy eating:

 

Healthy Eating Class

1 hr, $15

Following the USDA food pyramid, the chef instructor will lead scouts through a cooking class focused on making healthy food choices and preparing healthy snacks. 

Menu includes: Turkey wraps, veggies and baked pita chips with homemade hummus, fruit and yogurt parfaits, 100% fruit juice to drink.

 

Birthday Parties

Barnyard Birthday

Ages 5+
Let your little one pig out with friends at a farm-themed party! Kids make pigs in a blanket, create veggie wagon wheels with dip, make animal fruit sticks, mix their own edible chicken feed, and decorate moo-velous desserts with friends. $225 for the first ten children.

Pizza Palooza
Ages 5+
Make a crispy and delicious cheese pizza! The instructor guides the group through pizza creation, constructing fruit kabobs, nibbling on veggies and decorating dessert. This party is crust-shaping, sauce-spreading, cheese-sprinkling fun! $200 for the first ten children

Breakfast in Your PJ's
Ages 7+
What's more fun than rolling out of bed and making scrumptious food? Making food with friends, of course! Partygoers show up in their PJ's for a breakfast packed with yummy, healthy favorites like yogurt and fruit parfaits, egg frittatas, and mini waffles. For dessert, finish off this meal with hot frosted cinnamon rolls.  $225 for the first ten children.

Fiesta! Fiesta!
Ages 8 +
Delight in this Mexican feast from guacamole with chips to making your own blended icy fruit drinks and "build your own" quesadillas. Make your own ice cream sundaes for dessert. Spice up your birthday with a fiesta at A NEW DAWN cooking school...olé!

Gross-Out Party
Ages 8+
Where else can you eat slithering snake pizza roll-ups, spider cracker snacks, "bloody" monster bites, and bird poop? That's right, only at A NEW DAWN cooking school's Gross-Out Party!

Spa Party... It's a S'party!
Ages 8+
Kids will create their own unique line of beauty products, and snack on veggies, fresh fruit, and turkey tortilla pinwheels. During this party, we'll make a variety of spa-inspired items for each guest to take home with them.

Pasta Mangia!
Ages 8+
Take a trip to Italy without leaving the kitchen!  The instructor helps kids learn basic cooking skills while making their own lasagna, garlic-herb foccacia and fresh salad bar. Make your own ice cream sundae creation to complete your meal. Buon appetito!

Chocolate Lover's Party

Ages 9+

What kid doesn't love chocolate?  In this chocorrific party, kids will "make and take" chocolate truffles and chocolate-dipped delights to share with friends and family and "make and eat" molten chocolate lava cakes and chocolate milkshakes to share with no one!  It's messy, chocolatey, finger-licking fun!  

 

Each party includes the following:

• Instructor and assistant to facilitate party
• Beverages
• Goody bags
• Dessert
• Invitation for you to print at home
• One apron for the birthday child

Cost

$200-$250 for the first ten children, depending on party selection (see base prices below), $12.50 for each additional child thereafter. A $50 deposit is required at the time of reservation to hold your space.  Each party lasts 90 minutes. Due to space limitations, this is a drop-off party only. The maximum number of children that we can accommodate at a birthday party is sixteen maximum (including the birthday child). Host parents and immediate family are welcome to stay in the room. Inquire about reserving space in our café and providing party trays to accommodate guest parents.
