Tuesday, November 3rd
Passport to Great Taste: Sushi
6:30 pm $55
(hands-on, full meal, beer/wine included, registration required)
Take a trip to Japan without leaving our kitchen. In this class, we'll explore the art of creating sushi. Discover how quick, simple, and fun rolling your own sushi can be as we prepare three types of maki rolls; California, spicy tuna, and asparagus. We'll round out our Japanese menu with edamame, miso soup, and sweet and sour cucumber salad.

Kitchen Bootcamp Series

For students interested in an intense culinary experience, our Kitchen Bootcamp Series offers in-depth hands-on instruction over a period of 6 weeks. Each class in this series will focus on specific essential cooking methods that will be applied to a variety of delicious and impressive dishes. Students will move beyond recipes and learn fundamental techniques to build a foundation of invaluable culinary knowledge. Our Kitchen Bootcamp is ideal for all skill levels, from kitchen novices to more advanced cooks that are looking to get back to basics and strengthen the foundation of their culinary repertoire. Participants in all 6 classes in this series will receive an apron and a binder with all recipes and hand-outs. Help! I'm cooking Thanksgiving dinner and I don't know where to start! Take a deep breath, count to 10, and come to our hands-on Thanksgiving workshop to learn tips, tricks, and timing to prepare a classic thanksgiving feast so fabulous, even your mother-in-law will be impressed. Menu: Rosemary-orange roast turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, pear sourdough stuffing, green beans au gratin, apple pie.

Bake all of your holiday cookies in this hands-on workshop. We'll cream, mix, roll, and press our way to dozens of delectable delights. Students will leave with an assortment of holiday cookies to share with friends and family. A light meal will be served during class.

Ladies' Night Out: Latin Fusion

Chef Dawn will be your culinary guide for this popular ladies-only dinner which will explore and marry the bold flavors of Mexico, Cuba, Peru, and all our neighbors to the south. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to share food, wine, and fun with the girls! Wake up your tastebuds with this Latin menu: Ahi coconut ceviche, chilled avocado soup, spicy sweet pork tenderloin with charred corn and poblano salsa, pina colada sorbet.

Chef Dawn will demonstrate how to prepare these spectacular sides: Cranberry pomegranate sauce, roasted garlic mascarpone mashed potatoes, green bean fries with garlic-parmesan dipping sauce, grilled sweet potato salad with honey-balsamic vinaigrette, bacon, mushroom, and gruyere bread pudding, gingered pumpkin cheesecake.

Chef Dawn will show you how to impress your loved ones without breaking a sweat with simple and delicious hors d'oeuvre recipes perfect for holiday entertaining.

In this class, we'll cover different cuts of meat and the best way to cook them to coax out maximum flavor. Get acquainted with meat as we prepare this carnivorous menu: cider-braised short ribs, herb-crusted rack of lamb, dry-rubbed flank steak, brined pork chops.

When you're cooking for 1 or 2, it seems like there are always leftovers. Chef Dawn will show you how to make them do double duty by turning them into a creative and delicious meal that will make you forget you are eating leftovers. Tasting menu includes: roast chicken, bbq chicken pizza, honey-glazed salmon, and lemon salmon pasta salad.

Nothing warms your soul more than hot soup on a cold winter day. Chef Dawn will show you how to prepare several delicious and comforting soups/stews that will keep you warm all winter long. Tasting menu includes: lemon chicken couscous soup, beef burgundy stew, broccoli cheddar soup.
