Community Giving

At Whole Foods Market Oakville, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! Since opening in May 2005 we have contributed over $83,000 to community non-profit organizations.  We support local causes that are important to our friends and neighbours.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

Whole Foods Market will promote your organization's 5% Day in our widely distributed monthly newsletter. To be a 5% Day beneficiary, you must provide a staffed information booth on the 5% Day. We encourage you to promote the day through your organization. Past beneficiaries have utilized press releases and other forms of promotion to maximize their donation.

Whole Foods Market Oakville is pleased to announce our newest program to help our community partners raise needed funds. Our One Dime at a Time program provides an opportunity for our customers to give back to their communities. At the register, customers who bring their own bags will have the option to receive a 10 cent per bag refund as cash back off their receipt or they can choose to donate it to that month's selected charity organization.

To be a beneficiary of our One Dime at a Time program, please complete our One Dime at a Time Application and mail to: France Fournier, Whole Foods Market, 301 Cornwall Rd, Oakville, Ontario L6J 7Z5. You may also e-mail your submission to: france.fournier@wholefoods.com or drop off at the Customer Service Desk in the store.
