Experience Kindermusik!

Kids, moms, dads, grandparents and caregivers! Join us as we sing, dance and explore instruments with licensed Kindermusik Educators Jennifer Carey and Jamie Baker. Enjoy a 30-minute demonstration of this music and movement program developed for children ages newborn to 7 years then we'll have a snack!

Whole Foods and Fibers
6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Free but please pre-register
Break out your yarn for a gathering of the Nebraska Knit and Crochet Guild! If you're a pro, bring a project you're working on and a willingness to share your knowledge with a knitting or crochet newbie. Knitters and crocheters of all levels are invited but please bring your own yarn and needles.

Half Pints Kid's Class: Pick-a-Pita
10:00 - 10:45 a.m. $5 per child for Whole Kids Club members / $8 for non-members (caregivers free)
Half Pints ages 3 to 5 are invited to scoop, pour, roll, stir or spread foods to make their own edible creations. Class is limited to 10 children and their caregivers. Younger siblings who will remain in a carrier or stroller are welcome to attend.

Sign up for the discussion, the cooking class or both to learn how to cook a deceptively simple Thanksgiving dinner from scratch for 15 to 35 people in two hours.

This month, Methodist Hospital Marketing Dietitian Marilyn Wadum, RD, LMNT, will discuss how fiber may help with weight loss, reduced risk for some intestinal cancers and lowering cholesterol. You'll also learn how much fiber is needed to reap its benefits.

Stephanie Bell and Brad Dienstbier, The Bodysmith's exercise physiologists, will discuss how to make healthy food choices Thanksgiving to New Year's and the tempting weeks in between while sharing tips to maximize time spent exercising during the hectic holidays.

A Whole Foods Diet for Diabetes

Learn the general principles of a natural whole foods diet that may help maximize the health of diabetic patients with Randall S. Bradley, ND. With Type I diabetes (insulin dependent) this diet may make the difference between a lifetime of healthy stable maintenance and a lifetime of decline. With Type II diabetes it may even help lead to recovery.

This month, our food and sustainability discussion group will focus on what we can do to save energy and "green" our homes. We'll hear from local business Energy Smart and a home energy auditor as we share resources. While we "chew" on these topics we will also chew on some great local foods!

With our community outreach program, One Dime at a Time, you can choose to receive the $0.10 refund for each bag reused at checkout as cash back on your receipt or you can donate the refund to a designated charity. Need a Meeting Space?
Are you looking for a place to hold your next meeting? Our Lifestyle Center accommodates about 20 people and features a TV that can be hooked up to your own laptop for Power Point presentations. This room is also great for small receptions, business meetings, team builds and other gatherings. Availability permitting and during store business hours, non-profit organizations can hold meetings in our Lifestyle Center for free. Community groups can also rent the classroom for a nominal fee. Please call (402) 393-1200 and ask for Marketing for information, to check availability and to make reservations.

Our prepared Foods Team is ready to tickle your taste buds and save you time! Heat and Serve, Ready Made Meals for your microwave or conventional oven. Choose from a variety of entrees from vegetarian, seafood, pork, chicken and beef.

We now serve hot breakfast in our Prepared Foods department, perfect for an all-natural meal on the go! Enjoy our breakfast pastries hot from the oven, delicious coffee drinks, as well as a variety of traditional breakfast fare.

If you need to cancel attending a class contact customer service at (402) 393-1200. A class credit or store credit will be given if you cancel within 48 hours prior to the day of the class. Cancellations left on email or faxed to the store will not be honored. Whole Foods Market has the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or instructor illness. Whole Foods will contact you by phone regarding the cancellation and you will receive a refund.
