    Growing Gourmets Kids Class: Italian Favorites

    11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. $15 per person for Whole Kids Club members/$18 for non-members

    Italian grandmothers would be proud that you learned how to make these classics! Kids ages 9 to 12 will prepare a few different types of sauces to serve with pasta and make a spread for baked garlic bread while sipping on a homemade Italian sparkling beverage.     From the simple soybean comes a variety of foods, including tofu, miso, tempeh, soy sauce, soy noodles and soy milk. Learn more about the history and nutrition of these foods with natural foods educator Doni Yoast, a teacher of vegetarian and macrobiotic cooking for nearly 30 years, as she guides you through the preparation of delicious dishes like miso soup, tofu "cutlets," tempeh salad and cream of tomato soup.

  • Picnics on the Green

    Whole Foods Market Omaha is a proud sponsor of the 25th anniversary of the Jazz on the Green summer concert series at Joslyn Art Museum! Mix and match from our delicious a la carte selections to create a picnic you and your friends can enjoy al fresco. We'll package your picnic together in a reusable insulated tote bag and deliver it to Jazz on the Green, Thursdays, July 9 to August 13. No more scrambling to pack your own picnic after work, and you don't have to resort to a drive-through!

    With our community outreach program, One Dime at a Time, you can choose to receive the $0.10 refund for each bag reused at checkout as cash back on your receipt or you can donate the refund to a designated charity.   • Need a Meeting Space?

    Are you looking for a place to hold your next meeting? Our Lifestyle Center accommodates about 20 people and features a TV that can be hooked up to your own laptop for Power Point presentations. This room is also great for small receptions, business meetings, team builds and other gatherings. Availability permitting and during store business hours, non-profit organizations can hold meetings in our Lifestyle Center for free. Community groups can also rent the classroom for a nominal fee. Please call (402) 393-1200 and ask for Marketing for information, to check availability and to make reservations.

Whole Foods Market offers these classes for your benefit. The information presented represents the views of the lecturer and may or may not reflect the views of Whole Foods Market. As always, you should decide what is appropriate for you and your lifestyle.

Cancellations
If you need to cancel attending a class contact customer service at (402) 393-1200. A class credit or store credit will be given if you cancel within 48 hours prior to the day of the class. Cancellations left on email or faxed to the store will not be honored. Whole Foods Market has the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or instructor illness. Whole Foods will contact you by phone regarding the cancellation and you will receive a refund.
