Community Giving

At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month. We strive to make a difference.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

Whole Foods Market 5% Days
Whole Foods Market is proud to give back to the community! Four times a year, each store sets aside a day on which 5% of the day's net sales is contributed to a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

You might be asking, "With so many terrific groups in the Midtown area, how does Whole Foods — Ponce de Leon decide who gets to reap the benefits of a 5% Day?" Well, it's not easy!

First, your group MUST possess and provide us a copy of a 501(c)3 letter verifying that you are a tax exempt non-profit organization. Second, fill out the attached application-give us as much information as you can! We want to help, but we want to help a group that is going to benefit the most from a contribution, and that will put the funds to good use. (We also want you to work equally as hard as we will in promoting and getting the word out about your group leading up to 5% Day, so slackers need not apply!) Finally, our Team Members vote on the submitted applications and, as a group, we decide which organization will be the beneficiary of a Whole Foods Market 5% Day. It's important to us that we choose to work with an organization that fits in with our immediate community and that is in line with the Whole Foods Market philosophy: Whole Foods, Whole People, Whole Planet.

We look forward to hearing about your organization, and hope that we can help in the future.

Please submit the 5% Day Application, along with a copy of your 501(c)3 letter to Customer Service at our Midtown location, or fax it to 404.853.1632, attention: Lesley Sifford, Marketing Team Leader.
