• Wednesday, July 8th

  Kid's Sushi Class

  2:30 to 4 pm $15.00

  Kids how to make their own sushi in this fun hands-on class. Led by our Sushi Team Members, practice making various types of sushi to sample during class, or pack up and take home. The $15 per child fee includes a complimentary bamboo rolling mat, all ingredients, and an afternoon filled with fun!

  Summer Wine Tasting

  4:00 to 7:00 pm Free

  Our monthly wine tasting is always fun and a great opportunity to taste something new, as well as talk about wine with our knowledgeable team members.  As always, we pair our wines with delicious nibbles of cheese and other seasonal treats.

  Preserving the Harvest: Homemade Pickles!

  9:00 to 10:30 am Free

  With the arrival of ripe cucumbers comes the opportunity to make your own homemade pickles.  In our café, join Extension Educator Kathy Savoie, MS, RD from the University of Maine Cooperative Extension-Cumberland County to learn the latest USDA recommendations for high quality homemade pickles and dilly beans.  She will demonstrate and review the basic steps to success for canning pickles using the boiling water bath method.  This class is suitable for those new to canning as well as a great refresher for those who have canned before.

  Kids Eat Free in our Cafe!

  11:00 to 7:00 pm

  Every Tuesday, kids 10 and under eat free from our new Burgers, Fries and Shakes menu in our Café.  Buy one adult entree and receive one free kid's entree.  Bring the kids and enjoy! Click here to view the menu.

  Conversational ESL Class

  5:00 to 6:30 pm Free

  In our community room, stop by for conversation and laughter and meet with specially trained ESL volunteers to practice speaking English in a safe and relaxed setting!  Sign in at our Customer Service desk before going to the community room. 

• Every Friday

  Farmer's Market

  3:00 -6:00 pm

  From Friday, June 19th, through the harvest, Fresh Start Farms will be in front of the store to sell their locally grown produce.  Fresh Start Farms is a program that supports new American farmers and gardeners, primarily recent refugees from Somalia and Sudan, as they establish sustainable agricultural businesses in Maine.

  Made in Maine: Featured Local Food Producer

  Free

  In every department, we offer a wide variety of products from Maine artisans and producers of food, wine, flowers, body care, organic clothing, premium supplements and more!  Every Saturday, we will feature one of our local Maine producers.  This is a great opportunity to meet the person behind the product, enjoy samples and support local!
