Community Giving
At Whole Foods Market Portland, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.
Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year, a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local nonprofit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days. We also support local non profit organizations through our "Change for Change" Program. Every time a customer uses their own reusable bag at the register, we donate .10 per bag to one of our four different non profits selected quarterly for "Change for Change". Our customers choose which of the four organizations they would like their bag donation to go to each time they shop with us.

Please join us at our store Thursday November 12th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm for our annual TASTE OF THANKSGIVING. This years beneficiary is the Oregon Hunger Task Force. Tickets can be purchased in store leading up to the 12th at any register and at the event for $10. Your Taste of Thanksgiving passport is your ticket to taste the delicious and generous samples of our Holiday meal. All proceeds benefit the Oregon Hunger Task Force. oregonhunger.org



Join us in our Holiday Giving Campaign for The Sunshine Division of Portland by purchasing and donating a $15.00 or $25.00 bag of Whole Foods Market 365 value line groceries. When you purchase the bag you receive 10% of the price of the bag at the register. With the $25.00 bag you also receive a green reusable Whole Foods Market shopping bag at the register.
