    Wednesday, November 4 - Finger Foods!: From appetizers to desserts, our teams will show you how to start your meal quick and delicious, and end it easy and delightful.

    Wednesday, November 11 - Dinner is Served!: Impress your guests with these ideas for succulent side dishes and a mouthwatering main course.

    Wednesday, November 18 - And the Leftovers?: Don't be lazy with your leftovers! Take these ideas and make something interesting that will keep your family satisfied for days.

    Gluten-free, dairy-free, or sugar-free? Don't sacrifice your traditional holiday favorites. Aurora will show you how you can still enjoy the same classic dishes and still cater to your special diets' needs. Learn about your options, and grab a recipe to take and try at home!

     

    Sunday, November 8 - The Home Chocolatier - 2 to 4 pm

    Who doesn't love decadent treats for the holidays? Aurora teaches you how to pick the perfect chocolate for your holiday needs, and how to incorporate different kinds into your menu, whether you like truffles or chocolate-covered strawberries!

     

    Friday, November 13 - Easy as Pie! - 4 to 6 pm

    Don't let the thought of baking a homemade pie send you running scared! Aurora has great tips and tricks for holiday baking. She will even teach you how to master one of the hardest baking arts: the perfect, flaky pie crust. Yum!

     

    Friday, November 20 - Decorate with Food - 4 to 6 pm

    From placecards to centerpieces, learn how to jazz up your holiday décor with food! Aurora pairs with our Floral and Produce departments to help you decorate and stay green - most of these awesome decorations can be composted afterwards.

    Thanksgiving Menu Tasting

    Noon til 3 p.m. Free!

     

    Curious about our Thanksgiving Menu? Come in for a sampling of the delicious foods we have available for your Thanksgiving table. Place your order during the event and receive a free 24 oz Rich Traditional Turkey Gravy and a dozen Organic Soft Finger Rolls for your holiday table! (Rules and restrictions apply, see store for details.)

    Arts & Coffee Night: Thanksgiving Special with Free Coffee!

    4:30 til 6:30 p.m. Free!

     

    Featuring Waste Not Want Not, a downtown Providence non-profit (www.wnwnprovidence.org). Free coffee to sip on while you check out all the fun around the store. Learn how to recycle old t-shirts into potholders to use this Thanksgiving in your own kitchen, or to give as really unique gifts during the holiday season. Support this non-profit by purchasing a locally made 'zine that will teach you about great ideas for recipes and resourcefulness. Get tips from our Demo Specialist Aurora on how to avoid the freshman (or senior!) 15 during this holiday season. Show your silly side and make a hand turkey to hang in the store. Grab a FREE cup of coffee! Order a burrito from our burrito bar and get TWO stamps on your card for every burrito you purchase. (Double the burrito love.) Oh, and did we mention there will be free coffee?

     

    Please consider donating gently used paper bags or clothing to this great local non-profit. We can accept donations at the customer service booth, or at their downtown thrift store location.

    Local Restaurant Challenge

    Noon til 3 p.m. Free

     

    Local restaurants compete to out-cook our Prepared Foods Department with fall and holiday recipes. Our In-store Chef David goes up against chefs from local restaurants including Twist on Angell, The Garden Grille, and The Pizza Gourmet. Vote on your favorite dish!
