Special Fundraiser: Five Courses, One Cause

  • Bidding ends 2/28/10

    Private Dinner for 6, benefitting earthquake survivors in Haiti

    Bidding starts at $500

    On the table is a fabulous five-course dinner for six people, created in your home by one of our expert chefs.  Each course is served with wine pairings chosen by our certified sommelier.  100% of the proceeds go directly to support AmeriCares in their work with Haitian earthquake victims.  (Whole Foods Market Redmond will donate all of the ingredients for this incredible meal.)

    Auction Details:

    • Bidding starts at $500, and bids may be placed in $25 increments.
    • Place your bid by emailing liz.cruz@wholefoods.com
    • Before placing your bid, please check the current high bid at www.wholefoodsmarket.com/stores/redmond
    • Bids will be accepted through Sunday, February 28th.  The winning bidder must complete their donation at Whole Foods Market, Redmond, no later than Tuesday, March 2nd.
    • The dinner is to be scheduled on the date of the winning bidder's choice between March 15th and March 31st, 2010.

    If you're a high energy person stuck in a low-energy body, then you know how frustrating fatigue can be.  Silent stresses on your body can drain your energy reserves.  Join Dr. Larry Silber for this free talk and learn about high energy health habits that will restore your vitality!  This event is free, but space is limited, so sign up early!

    Join us for this Passport event as we explore everyone's favorite - Chocolate!  Learn all about how chocolate is made, try out some new recipes and explore new flavors.  To sweeten the deal, all of the proceeds from this event will be donated directly to the Eastside Domestic Violence Program, which does some incredible work in our community.

    Parmigianno Reggiano is more than just a fancy name -- this is one very special cheese!  Join us as we go behind the rind to find out just how special!  We'll try some interesting recipes (Parm Ice Cream, anyone?), play Parm trivia for a chance to win great prizes and witness the simultaneous cracking of two wheels of Parm!  You'll definititely want to be there for a taste of the center of the wheel -- it's a rare treat that doesn't come around too often!

Did you know that Whole Foods Market offers free store tours? We have tours available for students, Brownies, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Newcomer groups, men & women's groups...Everyone! Our tours are educational and fun. On your tour, you will learn why Whole Foods Market is so unique. You will learn about natural and organic foods and also get to taste many items throughout the store. Please contact Liz Cruz by emailing liz.cruz@wholefoods.com Seating and enrollment are on a first-come, first-served basis.  With some exceptions, registration closes 48 hours prior to class. Payment is made at the time of the event.

Salud Points!

Earn 1 point for each dollar spent on cooking classes, pairings and other events.  When you've accumulated 100 points, you'll receive $10 off at the next class or event that you attend!

Here are the details:

  • There's no need to sign up or keep track of everything - you'll be added to the list when you register for your first class and we'll add up your points for you and let you know when you've got 100!
  • You can use your $10 reward at any paid class except for those where beer and wine are served. (You will earn points by attending beer and wine pairing events, but we are unable to offer any discount on the price for these events).
  • Rewards may not be used at Passport events, as the fees for these events go directly to a charitable organization.
  • Rewards are good for discounts on class/event fees only and cannot be redeemed for merchandise or cash.
  • Only one $10 reward may be used at a given class, meaning that you may not save up multiple rewards and then take a cooking class for free.
  • Points can only be earned and rewards can only be used at Whole Foods Market Redmond.
  • If you purchase a class for you and a friend, you're welcome to have all of the points go to one of you - just let me know! (And make sure that your friend doesn't want the points!)
