All Things Good
The holidays: a time for gathering together, a time for remembrances, a time to make new memories. Whole Foods Market wishes you and yours the best season of all. Whether you make it all from scratch or make it the easy way with our ready-to-cook entrees, let us help you plan the holiday feast your family will talk about for generations!
Nickels for Non-Profits
We have launched a new program to assist our local non-profits. We hope you will support us in this effort. We all know that, when you bring your own reusable bags, you receive a nickel back. Now YOU have the option to take that nickel off your bill or receive a wooden nickel and give it to a non-profit. There is a box located in the front of our store to hold these wooden nickels and they are really adding up. Please be a supporter of our local non-profits groups. It's an easy way to help agencies that help our community. This quarter's recipients are "LANK", the Lake Anne Nursery Kindergarten, and "Friends of Reston Library", a citizens group that helps our local library in so many ways.
New Choices: The Healthy Eating Bar
Have you seen this? Right near our Hot Bar and Salad Bar we have installed a new Healthy Eating Bar with both hot and cold entrees and delicious grains and sides. Sprinkle some wheatberries onto your salad, choose the kale and cranberry salad (amazing!), or ginger braised baby bok choy. If you're making a few changes or just carrying on a program of great low-fat, low-oil foods, try these delicious selections.
NOW IN OUR CAFÉ
Come by our store in Reston and enjoy a beautiful display of hand-made quilts from our local friends, "The Quirky Quilters". We welcome the cozy warmth these folk artists bring to our cafe. Thank you, ladies!

Food for Thought
"Over the river and through the woods
Trot fast my dapple gray.
Spring over the ground
Like a hunting hound
On this Thanksgiving Day, Hey!
Over the river and through the woods
Now Grandmother's face I spy.
Hurrah for the fun,
Is the pudding done?
Hurrah for the pumpkin pie."
English folksong, It's Raining, It's Pouring
