July tastes like Summer

At Whole Foods Market, we have all your favorites to bring back the taste of summer--even though the weather has been less like summer around here! 

Watermelon, bluberry pies, red cherries, corn on the cob, burgers and hot dogs--the foods you salivate for when you think about summer. All are on sale now in time for the Fourth so stock up for your summer barbeques! Pick up our booklet tittled, "This is what SUMMER tastes like" at our registers and on the brochure cabinet. Inside you will find menus and guideance on how to throw a simple summer cookout for your friends and family. Plus, there are summers recipes on our recipe board fpr Watermelon salad, Barbeque chicken, Steak on the grill, Grilled Corn on the Cob, Strawberry Shortcake with maple syrup and Frozen Yogert, and Sun Tea.

  BLOCK PARTY

  various times between 3 - 8 PM FREE!

  It's our SUMMER BLOCK PARTY! Activities include a corn shucking contest at 3 pm in our produce departrment, announcing the winner of the gas grill in the meat department at 4 pm, a cake walk in our bakery department at 5 pm. From 6 - 8 pm, taste recipes throughout the store that you can make for the Fourth of July! Don't miss it!

  Mass Farmers' Markets

  4 - 6 pm Free!

  During the month of June, we will be accepting $2 and $5 dollar donations at the registers for the Massachusetts Farmers' Markets. On Tuesday, July 7th, a representative from MFM will be here between 4 and 6 pm educating customers about MFM. Stop by and learn alll about local farms in Massachusetts!

  Every Sunday 3 - 6 pm $19.99 each local bag

  Come into River Street from 3-6pm and enjoy the season's bounty at a discount of 20%.  Our talented crew will teach you how to make a fabulous seasonal treat made with only locally grown and produced ingredients.  You will be able to take a box of these ingredients with you at 20% off their origanal price.  Our local gourmet boxes will include seasonal recipes and will never exceed $19.99 so you can feel good about supporting your community and your budget too!

  11 am - 12 noon $10 per child

  First time class being offered at the River Street Whole Foods Market! Perfect for ages 6 - 12, this "Sushi 101 for Kids" is being taught by our Sushi specialists, Genji, the same folks who make our in-store made sushi. Space is limited to 10 children so please sign up early at Customer Service.

  The city of Cambridge will be presenting "PeeWee's Big Adventure!" at 7:30 pm in Riverside Park located across the street from Whole Foods Maket on River Street. Join us at 6:30 pm before the movie for free snacks and beverages of Zico Coconut water, Little Lads popcorn, Sweet Scoops icecream, and Late July cookies.
