    NUTRITION with Victoria - Feeding Your Immune System: Nutrition, Stress and Immune Function

    10 am - noon

    Our consulting nutritionist, Victoria Pawlowski, MED, RD, is a registered dietitian, holistic nutritionist and psycho-nutritional therapist with over 25 years experience.  She is passionate about supporting others to transform their health with quality food, optimal nutrition and mindful eating. 

    Stress impacts what we eat and how we eat. What we eat impacts our resiliency to stress - either stressing us out more or providing healing and protection. You can maximize your resilience to stress and dis-ease, boost your immune system, your energy and your health by fine-tuning your diet and lifestyle.  Focus on foods, herbs and supplements that will  boost your energy, vitality and resilience to stress. The first part of this workshop will be in the Stanley Court Room at WECC, and the second part will involve an aisle by aisle nutritional tour of Robson Capers Whole Foods Markets.

    Gluten Free Workshop

    10 am - noon Free

    Thinking of Trying to Live Without Wheat? Do you get fatigued after eating breads? Are you often bloated and have uncomfortable digestion?  Achy?  Depressed?   Pain after eating?  

    If you think you might be sensitive to wheat or gluten, a food elimination diet can be helpful in both identifying food intolerances and in giving the gut a rest so that it can heal and restore acid/base balance. It can be challenging to know where to start because gluten and wheat is found everywhere. 

    The first part of this workshop will be in the Stanley Court Room at WECC, and the second part will involve an aisle by aisle nutritional tour of Robson Capers Whole Foods Markets.

    Your donation will benefit The Vivian Transitional Housing Program for Women (The Vivian)

    The "Viv" provides supported housing for at-risk, chronically homeless women. It is the first minimal barrier housing program in Vancouver specifically designed for women living with concurrent mental illness, addiction and other challenges.
