As part of this exploration, we're offering a complimentary viewing of the documentary film, Mondovino. The film pits the ambitions of large, multinational wine producers with a world vision (in particular Robert Mondavvi), against the smaller, traditional producers who consider themselves more as shepherds of nature, in search of wines that truly express a speceficity of place & time (or terroir). The film also focuses on the influence of consultants like Michael Rollands & critics like Robert Parker in defining an international style.
Our tasting will feature wines from several of the great producers followed in the film, accompanied by regional cheeses, a selection of light appetizers and concluded by a discussion.
