  Grab and Give Begins at Whole Foods Market Tamarac!

   

   Every Holiday Season, WFM gives shoppers an opportunity to feed the hungry by choosing $5, $10, or $25 bags of non-perishable food to donate.

  This year, Whole Foods Market Tamarac is supporting Work Options for Women a unique nonprofit social enterprise that uses food to change lives.

  Founded in 1997, WOW helps women escape poverty through education and training. Their goal is to help every woman that walks through their doors move towards future self-sufficiency through employment in the food service industry.

  We believe that self-sufficient women form the cornerstone of a healthy, vibrant community. Given opportunities, skills and confidence, women not only improve their own lives, but the lives of their families - and then, family by family, they strengthen the fabric of a community.

  Celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Season at Whole Foods Market Tamarac! Join us for an all-store tasting of our best Holiday dishes! Each dish will be paired with a complimentary wine or beer. Enjoy live music, delicious Holiday Food, and support the Mile High Youth Corps.

   

  Mile High Youth Corps (MHYC) improves communities and the lives of youth by putting young people to work in urban neighborhoods, public parks and open spaces. We have a 16-year track record of engaging youth in jobs that help the planet and provide pathways to a promising future. By integrating paid work experience on community projects with career exploration, education and lifeskills training, the Corps helps youth develop the skills they need to succeed in the classroom, the workforce and everyday life.
