February 2010 Calendar of Events

 

All events at 1548 North Dale Mabry Hwy. are free unless otherwise noted.  Pre-registration is required for all classes and can be made at sherell.white@wholefoods.com or at the Event Registration Desk.  Refunds, credits, or transfer of classes will not be honored for no-shows or cancellations made fewer than 48 hours before event.  All events are subject to change.

  Whole Trade Cotton Candy Kick Off

  Discover the World of Whole Trade! February 3-28^th is Whole Trade month. Please join us for this extra fun kick off event.  All customers exiting customer service check out lines will receive a free cotton candy made with whole trade sugar. It's the best.. really!

  Fall In Love with Lodi; Wines Class and Tasting

  Please join us for a Fall in Love with Lodi Wine class and tasting. Michael Palese will explore the rich fruit forward wines from Lodi's Top wine makers. This class is limited to 40 people. Registration required at sherell.white@wholefoods.com or at store exit lobby. Free Event

  I LoVe RAW !

  6:30-7:30pm Free Event

  Join Raw Food Fairy, LindaJoy Rose, with her heart-healthy and comforting recipes for Valentine's Day, featuring Almond Milk (simple, sweet and from scratch!) , "Hot" Cocoa, and  "Tapioca" Pudding.  She will also share information on Superfoods and bring in delectable chocolate truffles to share with you.  Friday, February 12^th 6:30 pm in the café.   February 17 to March 31 is our 2010 Whole Planet Foundation Prosperity Campaign

  The Foundation's mission is to create economic partnerships with the poor in those developing-world communities that supply our stores with product Customers can support this drive through cash register donations.100% of the donations generated will go directly to the micro-lending programs in 17 countries around the world. Customers donating $10.00 or more will be eligible to take a spin on the wheel of prosperity for a prize.

  Kids Night Out!

  6:30-7:30pm Free Event

  Hey Kids this is your night out! You will be treated to a Mardi Gras Party complete with a cookie decorating class, action packed games and a parade march through the store led by a Mardi Gras character.   Fairy Girls Club

  Fairy Girls Club is a magical educational, social and mentoring program for girls 7 to 17, unlike any club you've ever seen.  Pledged to "Just Do Good," the program teaches fundamental business, environmental, social, creative and philanthropic skills aimed at developing character, compassion and emotional intelligence. 

   With dynamic meetings, balanced between learning experiences and focused playtime, the girls explore the concept of the fairy-inspired life. Participants learn to express their inner fairy--their unique spark of creativity-and live a more meaningful and magical existence by emulating nature spirits as guides and healers to gain an appreciation for the lighter, brighter, whimsical sides of life.

  The Cracking of the Parm

  3:00pm Free Event

  Please join us at 3pm in the Specialty department to CRACK THE PARM !    We will crack open an 85 pound wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano using traditional Parmigiano Knives .All Whole Foods Markets will be Cracking The Parm in this festive celebration at 3pm across the country.  Join the fun... samples for all!! No registration required. Free Event.

Tampa Whole Foods Market customers can participate in RECYCLING #5 plastic containers at the stores Customer Service collection bin. Take action and help the environment today by dropping off your clean plastics with a #5 stamp, Preserve product containers, and Brita pitcher water filters. Preserve will transform your old containers into new eco-friendly products.
