Little Bit Foundation

The first 50 customers to stop by the Little Bit Foundation table to learn more about this great local resource will receive a free reusable shopping bag!
The Little Bit Foundation (TLBF) was born in 2001 out of a small request from an inner city school teacher and has grown into serving over 2,600 students in 12 schools throughout the St. Louis area. TLBF's 100+ volunteers develop strong partnerships with sponsored schools to offer consistent, empowering hope to children in need. TLBF's presence in the schools, working one-on-one with each child, combined with providing basic necessities such as clothing, shoes and coats, ensures each child's personal dignity and breaks down the barriers to learning and succeeding. This consistent interaction, combined with these basic necessities has the power to change lives.
Throughout January, February and March customers who bring their own shopping bags to Whole Foods Market Town & Country have the option to keep their 10 cent per bag refund or donate it to The Little Bit Foundation.

Whole Planet Foundation Prosperity Samplefest & Fact Finding Mission
1 - 4:00 pm Free
The Whole Planet Foundation was born out of Whole Foods Market's desire to give something back to those who have helped us succeed while focusing on the persistent problem of world poverty and hunger. Through the Whole Planet Foundation, our team members, our suppliers, and our customers all have the opportunity to make a contribution to microloans in the villages and rural communities that supply our stores with tropical fruit, vegetables, tea, and coffee. Microloans are small loans - usually $200 or less - requiring no collateral or contract. They are offered to the poorest of the poor, with a focus on women wanting to finance self-employment projects that will generate income.
In our 2009 Prosperity Fundraiser, Whole Foods Market shoppers donated more than $1.8 million! And earlier this year, our customers raised $1 million more for microloans to rebuild the Haitian economy. Whole Foods Market covers all of the operating expenses of the Foundation; therefore 100% of donations go towards funding microloans.
Shop at Whole Foods Market this day to learn more about the Whole Planet Foundation and how you can help change the world through your everyday grocery purchases. We're sending you on a fact finding mission. This mission, should you choose to accept it, is to visit the many sample stations throughout the store to collect information (and samples). Turn in your completed answer sheet for a chance to win a $50 Whole Foods Market gift card.
Each person who donates $1 to the Whole Planet Foundation during this event will receive a free delicious piece of cake (while supplies last).
