Childhood Obesity Lecture

Obesity and inflammation are major contributors to all human diseases. This is a given for adults but did you know it starts in childhood. The CDC is gathering data that points to some states showing 1 in 3 people are overweight/obese. We are counseling our grade school kids on proper diet and letting them know, when this current generation gets to college, one person in every classroom will probably have heart disease! We are all listening intently on deaths from swine flu but heart disease is still the number one killer in the united states and its not seasonal. Come learn interesting facts about the eating habits of children, how it effects school performance, maturity, emotional stability and what we can do as a community to help change our countries future leaders. Enrique Saguil is a board certified in family medicine, fellowship trained in sports medicine, has received certification with UCLA for medical acupuncture and is a current fellow with Andrew Weil's Program in Integrative Medicine. There will be a 20 minute presentation followed by question/answers.
