Community Giving

At Whole Foods Market, we are active participants in our community. We are extremely proud of our community involvement and the relationships that we continue to make each month! We strive to make a difference.

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

Community Events

Does your non-profit group have an event you want us to sponsor or take part in? Contact store marketing at extension 107 or pick up a donation request form at customer service.

Participating organizations must be a government designated 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Purchase gift cards from Whole Foods Market for face value minus 5%, and then turn around and sell them for face value.

For example: Your school purchases $500 worth of gift cards for $475. Then sells them at face value, making $25. Gift cards may be purchased in blocks of $500. Gift cards come in $10, $25, $50 and $100 denominations. When redeeming gift cards, if a purchase is less than the face value of the card, no change is given. Instead, the card will retain a balance for the remainder of the face value that can be used toward the cardholder’s next purchase. Please be sure to inform participants in your organization of this. Call 630-655-5000 xt107 to order.
