A forager is someone who searches widely for food or provisions. Whole Foods Market® has local foragers across the nation helping us source from more than 6,500 local vendors. From country farms to urban bakeries, these on-the-go team members seek out the best local products, so we can bring more great stuff to our customers.

Today about 25 percent of the produce sold at our stores comes from local farms, and storewide anywhere from 10-30 percent of the products on our shelves come from local producers depending on availability, store size and the needs of the community.
