Tart Cherry Juice is an excellent way to increase your good slumber!! Simply drink a glass up to one hour before bed time. And of course, remember that cherries are an excellent source of vitamin C which helps your skin cells rejuvenate and keeps your immune system strong.

Cherry-licious time of my children and I shout!! Bad for the stains on our clothes but sooooooo good for our health!! We love to eat them whole, juice them, on top of our porridge, in our smoothies, salads, bake them so they go 'pop' when you bite into them ! They just keep making their way into everything plus they are sooooooooo portable which is great with children. The only problem is keeping supply up with demand! Love summer!!!

I pit using a bent out paper clip because that is cheaper than any other method. I also love to make a cherry clafoutis, or crush them up with a little honey and add them to carbonated water for a refreshing summer drink.

Summer isn't complete without making my grandma's famous cherry kuchen recipe. Sweet, tart cherries with the most delicate butter crumbly crust served warm with our favorite vanilla custard.

The best thing to do when you have a lot of cherries is to make a dish called Cherry Yum Yum. It tastes just like the name & it's basically a dessert that you can serve warm like pie, and even serve a la mode! Some people even like it with a mild cheese on top or cream cheese. Yum Yum! :)

Cherries are one of the favourite fruits, not only mine but for my whole family. We wait for this season especially for cherries. We also take cherries with us while going to India. If it is not the season, we sometimes take dried cherries. I like the bright red cherries in red cherries. They are really sweet. I like rainier cherries too.

My golden retriever knew when they were in the grocery bag and would go wild. He hung out in between my legs as I pitted them in the sink, hoping one might get away from me (which always happened). They were his favorite treats of the summer. he would do anything for a cherry.

As a natural anti-inflammatory, I love to eat as many fresh as I can! If I'm lucky enough to go cherry picking and have a surplus, two favorite ways of using them (where pitting is optional) is a Cherry Clafoutis--diehard fans claim that the pit adds extra flavor, though it does require you to spit as you eat--or a cherry compote, since when stewed, the fruit falls apart and pits just float out on their own!

I visit my grandchildren in California and when Cherries are in season they love the big brown bags that are sold in Whole Foods it looks like being at cherry harvest Thanks for the lovely food. Living in Tribeca for years made fresh un chemicaled food so unaccessable until you opened your store on Greenwich st.

For pitting I use the side of my knife and whack the cherry. The pit shoots out the end leaving the cherry whole. Note if you whack to hard you will crush the cherry and lose a significant amount of the fabulous juice. I prefer to eat the cherries right out if the colander! This season I have enjoyed a vanilla kirsch panna cotta with cherry compote.
