I just had this conversation with my lady this afternoon. I really need to get into better snacking. Not only that, but getting into the habit of preparing in advance. Today for instance, I am working retail near downtown Detroit, and I'm just about the only store open in the immediate area, and the only thing our store has to offer is soda, chocolate and sugary|salty covered nuts. So once I'm get home, I'll be so hungry, it's hard to avoid eating the fastest meal possible, which isn't always the healthiest. I recently signed up to get twitter updates from whole foods. With better planning, and some good ideas, I will 'break the habit' and make a healthier me!

Fruits and veggies are always preferred in our house for a midday snack time. But for a bed time snack, you can't beat one of those freshly baked cookies from WF's bakery! Chocolate chip will always be my favorite.

We love hummus, it's great with veggies, on chips, or even tortillas. Currently I'm snacking on whole foods roasted salted plantains, we can't live without in our house and at work!

I am overweight and have started a new eating plan and learning to snack wiser. My fav is carrots and humus, raw almonds, and granola. Have lost 20 lbs with this new plan and going strong!

Living in a college setting makes it tough to maintain a healthy diet, similar to the way it would be on tour... although I won't deny my love for late night pizza. In order to stay healthy, especially in the winter months, my housemates and I stock up on sources of vitamin C and protein. Clementines taste best when it is cold outside! Omelets with spinach and cheese fill you up in the morning so you're not snacking too much during the day. And I firmly believe that eating the actual food is better than loading up on vitamins - not only because it's healthier but it tastes good :)

My favorite snack is Udi's Hawaiian granola or Bear Naked Mango Agave Almond granola with some dried fruit and vanilla yogurt. It really is a magic fix for most any time of the day.

i love getting a whole bunch Whole Foods Seeduction bread rolls. i just stick them in the freezer and whenever i want one i just pop it in the oven for 5-10 minutes and eat them with dinner, lunch, or just a snack! their perfect with all the seeds and nutrients packed in them.
