Very informative on how honey is made by the bees and how to extract the honey from the hives. I didn't know that honey was packed with antioxidants and amino acids.

Someone told me that I could buy local honey to help with my allergies. Does anyone know of a store or if Whole Foods carries local honey near Bucks County or Philadelphia, PA?

Is Orgetga mountain honey considered local? I live in North Hollywood CA. If not, does WF sell local honey?

@MARTY - Your local store should definitely have some local honey options. Give them a call and they can let you know what brands they have in stock!

I recently purchased 365 Organic Wildflower Amber Honey. I'd never had wildflower honey, & while I love the taste, it seems to be substantially thinner than any honey I have ever had. Does the thickness of honey vary depending on the type?

@SAM - It sure can. The consistency of honey can be very variable since it is minimally processed and dependent on the time of year it is produced. Thanks for checking!

I'm wondering if whole Foods 365 Organic Wildflower Honey is Raw or not. It doesn't say on the label but was wondering if it being organic covers that stipulation or not. Now that I'm writing this I'm thinking it probably doesn't since milk can be organic and pasteurized. Should I assume it has been heated? I know this deadens many of the medicinal qualities of honey. Thank You

@MICHELLE - The honey is raw as it is only heated to 110 degrees, just enough to melt it for filtering and bottling.

The new Mountain Forest honeys aren't as good in my opinion as the wildflower honey was, but I don't see the Wildflower available any longer in the stores. Is there any plans to bring back the wildflower honey you had so that consumers have a choice of which to buy? Or perhaps you could let us know where it is sourced from so we could try to buy it elsewhere? Thanks and appreciate the follow up!

@NIKKI - FYI - Just spoke to Ben at the local Ann Arbor store and he says the 365 brand Wildflower honey was discontinued and it isn't carred by other WholeFoods stores - so guess I'm out of luck on this one...If you know of anything different please let me know!

Hi. I am looking for raw organic honey that is processed without heat and is contained in a glass jar, as this is the only kind of honey that is beneficial. Does Whole Foods carry a brand like that?

@JULIE - Our products vary between locations. Check with your local store to see what they have in stock.
