I will be boycotting all Whole Foods market stores for this article. There is a very, very large body of evidence which shows that homeopathy does not work, but since you seem to deal in anecdotal terms, you can just look to James Randy. He routinely swallows entire boxes of homeopathic preparations with no affects, ill or otherwise. Homeopathic preparations are nothing more than water. You address none of these facts in your article. In fact, it seems that you are intentionally telling half truths. Homeopathy isn't like taking a bit of an onion to stop you from being stuffed up because onions make you tear up and cry. Its more like you take an onion, drop it in Lake Michigan, stir it up and take a sip of the water. The concept of homeopathy is that everything gives off certain vibrations. Those vibrations are retained in water and become more powerful the more it is diluted. Why did you leave these critical concepts of homeopathy out of your article? The only reason I can fathom is that you are intentionally trying to mislead customers into buying high profit water capsules. That indicates to me that Whole Foods cares more about profit than the well being of its customers. They would rather them buy a supposed drug which does nothing, while lying to them that it does then actually tell the truth and show some standards. I will never set foot in a Whole Foods store again

Great podcast! It's amazing how far back homeopathy goes and how many people are still against it today!

So many times we must be reminded of the simple truths and common sense. Eat healthy, drink water, and supplement when needed.

I'm a skeptic about alternative medicine, but I stand by a healthy diet as preventing colds and flu. A couple of years ago I started a habit of buying and eating an orange a day, every weekday, and I'm always healthy throughout cold and flu season even when friends and co-workers are sniffling away.

Thanks for the great tips! When I feel like I am getting sick I start taking garlic pills or eating more things with garlic and it seems to help.

I have used some homeopathic medicines and they do work. I'm surprised at the negative comments on this blog actually-it has been used for hundreds of years effectively and safely.

Wow there are a lot of differing opinions on this! I have never really used homeopathic remedies so I can't attest to their working. I do know that taking certain vitamins, minerals and herbs can help build up your immune system but that's about the extent of my knowledge!

I have had a lot of questions about homeopathic remedies. Some of the information in your podcast is at odds with what I've heard in the past - this prompts more investigation on my part - never a bad thing. Thanks for sharing!

It seems like results are highly individualized. To date, I have not had success with homeopathic products, but I don't doubt that they have helped some.
