Homestead Creamery

All the milk at Homestead Creamery comes from two local farms, both in their third and fourth generations of family ownership.  The milk is free of all hormones and antibiotics, and because the milk is sold in recycled glass bottles it tastes fresher longer and is more environmentally friendly. Note: Our Farm to Market slide shows currently feature farmers and producers from our South and MidAtlantic Regions. We hope to expand to others in the future.

Do you have any wire carriers for the glass milk jugs? I buy 3-4 half gallons/week and have the empty glass jugs rolling around my car before I return them.

Peter Machado says …

what good reason do you have for putting carrageenan and starch into your homestead creamery chocolate milk?

Claudia Lee says …

Dear Homestead Creamery, I am interested in purchasing your milk. I am also concerned about ingesting GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) and chemicals. Are your cows fed anything that is GMO or silage that had been chemically treated/fertilized? Thank you for your time. I am anxious to receive your response. Sincerely, Claudia

I was at the "Southern Womens' Show and the Homestead Crearery was there. I was wanting to know about the buttermilk and they siad I could purchase it at Kroger and I have been at least 2 times a week and there is none ithere. They will tell me some will be in Wed and I go on Wed and Thurs and none is there. Where else can I purchase the buttermilk so I won't have to keep going back and forth and none is there. I just notice that it is carried at Whole Foods. Do you really have it there or is it like the Kroger Stores and none is never there. WholeFoods is not as close as Kroger so I would like to know if they have it or not. Allso they said about the ice cream and haven't been able to purchase that either. Any info you have would be welcomed.
