It’s Hot. Win Iced Tea.

Congratulations to Stephanie and thank you everyone who entertained us with your stories of how hot it is where you are. Stay cool everyone! Yep, it’s late July and hot as heck just about everywhere. Doesn’t it sound perfect to cool down with some ice-cold tea? We know! That’s why we’ve just introduced our new line of 365 Everyday Value Organic ready-to-drink teas. Now these aren’t just your run-of-the-mill ordinary bottled teas. These new teas are organic and Whole Trade®, which ensures the ingredients are grown with a commitment to ethical trade, the environment and quality products. And 1% of the sale of Whole Trade products benefits the Whole Planet Foundation™. That’s doing good twice (three times if you count the good it does you to drink great tea!). A majority of our tea leaves are grown in China and India — both known for their superior quality in tea leaf production — and our teas are bottled in the USA using 45% post consumer recycled plastic. We’ve created four flavored and lightly sweetened 16-ounce bottled teas and two unsweetened 64-ounce value options. Here’s the rundown: In 16-ounce bottles:
  • Organic Mint Green Tea
  • Organic Lemon Black Tea
  • Organic Peach Oolong Tea
  • Organic Mango Acai White Tea
In 64-ounce containers:
  • Organic Green Tea
  • Organic Black Tea
We encourage everyone to give these great teas a try, and we’re going to jump start some supercharged cooling by choosing one reader to win a case of these delightful teas. Tell us why it’s sooooo hot where you are and why you think you should win the case of tea. We’re going to choose one winner at random but hey, make your story good ‘cause we want to sit back with a fun read and an ice-cold glass of tea. Enter your comment by August 4th.

If I win the case of tea, I plan to share it with others. I saw a posting of a person on Facebook recently who made iced green tea and drove to the bus stops on a very very hot day to offer the people waiting for their busses a cold refreshing drink. It has inspired me to do that here in Dallas where it is soooo hot. People will be more likely to take it if it is already in bottles.

Baby It's Hot Inside. (Outside too!) I don't know if I'm getting older or it has just been too darned hot this summer. Can't walk from the house to car without dripping. Tried the new teas at Whole Foods just this week and they were great!

Donna says …

Love the Mango-Acai iced tea - refreshing and not sweet!!

Cindy says …

It's so HOT and HUMID here in Chicago! Only if I had your great ICED teas!

Suzanne Fujita says …

It's been blazing hot here in Boulder, CO. The 100 degree temps and unseasonable humidity are NOT ok. Iced tea and a swimming pool are the best ways to cool off. Organic, whole trade and unsweetened are a combination that are tough to find. They make this deal extra sweet! Thanks!

I am heading to the Oregon Coastal town of Gearhart for most of August with my family. We are expecting lots of guests over the next few weeks and would love to introduce them to this fabulous new and refreshing summer tea !! Our weather won't be too hot, but lots of lazy days to sit back, watch the ocean and enjoy an iced tea.... I can't wait !!

Reesa Beggs says …

Colorado Springs has been unusually hot these last few weeks! Since I don't have air conditioning, and have to cool myself with cool drinks, like organic iced teas, I deserve to win a case of tea, to last out the season! Not only do they taste good, but they are good for you!

What a great idea ... hot category these days. Way to go Whole Foods! I'm hot to win a case!

This sounds wonderful! Ya wanna know how hot it is????? It is so hot that the birds have to use potholders to pull the worms out of the ground!!

Gabriella says …

I am an avid tea drinker but the past couple of months have not been partaking in my usual hot tea because of the heat wave. It's been unseasonably hot here and I would love to try these teas to cool off!

It would be nice to win a case of ice tea. I purchase ice tea by the case at Whole Foods. My family drinks any brand I get from Whole Foods. It would be nice to win a case so I can have one week without paying for iced tea on my grocery bill. However, if I won, I would just purchase more tea.

I am currently 33 weeks - out of 40 - pregnant with a feisty little girl, in the heat of summer in Oklahoma. The humidity has been higher than normal and it shows - my hair is curlier than ever! I'm ready for a refreshing glass of lightly sweetenend tea - with great health benefits for me and for baby, I think it's a treat that we deserve. :)

We have had heat wave after heat wave here in central New Jersey. My poor landscape is so dry and my grass is going dormant. I don't have that option so it's important to have some healthy and tasty alternatives to stay hydrated. Also the benefits to the planet that these products yield make them a logical choice for everyone to use!

Okay so I'm on the coast in Northern California and it's never really hot here but I am headed back to my home state of Alabama where it's about 147 degrees and 100% humidity so some refreshing tea to share with the rest of my hot friends would be awesome! Besides, it's the South we have to have our TEA!

Greg Bernard says …

WE are big tea drinkers and would love these flavors. it is 100 degrees and humid here in tn.

Sarah says …

It's hot here in Atlanta and let's not even talk about the humidity. I just had surgery and sure could enjoy some great tea to cool off with.

Randy says …

In San Francisco, we have been getting hot under the collar about the current political "Tea Party". So we could really use a case of Organic 365 Teas to help cool down!

arcana bern says …

We are hot in tn with 100 days. would love to be sipping these on a boat on the lake.

Carol says …

I live in Houston but just came back from a few weeks in the mountains of Colorado. With the windows open, my husband and I used blankets at night as the temperature got to the low 40's!!! That is "quite a concept" back here in Houston!! That tea would sure help us stay hydrated and acclimate back to Houston's hot and humid weather.

kat says …

i love white tea. i like that they are not sweetened.

Dawn TenBears Houts says …

TEA is for ANY day...not just hot days. Seems lately, I've been suggesting tea to everyone I talk to. I am a Master Herbalist by choice and by "trade" and am constantly sugggesting tea, tea, tea. It has soooo many benefits that it makes sense to keep it on hand at all times....or would that be...IN hand?

Here in DC its not just 100 degrees it is HUMID! It feel like I'm living in a rainforest more often than not. SO nothing is better than kicking back and watching an afternoon storm with a refreshing tea.

Theresa Schuster says …

I would love to win a case of iced tea. My husband has been travelling all over the USA for work, and I am here in hot humid and hazy Virginia in one of the hottest periods I have ever experienced. It's not too bad if you are in air condtioning, but I work at Oatlands Plantation, a delightful old home built in 1797, that is absolutely not air conditioned! It is my job to make 200 years of history sound fun and exciting while I have sweat beads dripping down my back into undiscloed locations! A case of iced tea would certainly help out!

Nina Los says …

Because I am in NY, and everybody knows how horrible it is in NY right now.

Elizabeth says …

Melting hot here in Austin, TX. Especially since I ride my bike everywhere. It is not uncommon for the temperature to be over 100 degrees for weeks on end down here, so please... help a sister out with some ice cold tea!

Shanna says …

I have lived in Arizona for the past 2 1/2 years & it is really hot here but I love it. There is nothing like sitting out in the evening with family enjoying a nice glass of iced tea & tea is great on these extremely hot days.

melissa rodd says …

New to the organic world of living.....but love tea of all kinds!

Heather says …

It is so hot and muggy, my glasses immediately steam up when I go outside.

Dave says …

Well, I guess I'm in the minority here. San Francisco in the summer is what spring or fall weather would be elsewhere. Temperatures are typically in the 50s and 60s (during the day) and sometimes in the 70s. But I still love to drink iced tea at any time of the year! Our "summer" is generally in September and October when temperatures will occasionally reach the 80s! One other nice thing about summers in SF is that it never rains.

Robert H Fender Jr says …

I tried the unsweetened green and black teas. They tasted just as good as the other brands I have purchased. Now that I am purchasing more organic products I will change to these teas as well. I do not live in the hottest area, however, on the hot days we have the teas are delicious. On regular days about mid 70's, I drink the teas at room temperature. I shouldn't win a case anymore than anyone else should. But maybe it will be my lucky day.

Patience Prine-Carr says …

I love all teas! In my job as a horse trainer I travel a lot and spend long hours driving around the country from Horse Show to Horse Show. I like to drink tea not soda's but it is so hard to find good tea without sweeteners or artificial ingredients Whole Foods 365 Tea in the 64ounce container is perfect for me and my busy lifestyle! Like the unsweetened Organic Green Tea-LOVE IT!!! Thanks for such a great product!!

Vani says …

I live in the DC area under the midatlantic, opressive, sweltering humidity. Heat I can generally handle, but my AC just broke, and it's been hotter and more humid than usual. It's going to be a week before I can get it fixed...oh, I can really use some nice, ice-cold, tea right now.

Ashley says …

Here in Ohio the temperatures just won't give us a break this year, but that's Cleveland weather for you. And for me, with the heat comes dehydration, lack of energy, and headaches. Tea is my savior, especially oolong tea. A few sips and my stomach doesn't ache, my head is calmed, and I am ready to move on to the next adventure of summer. Some free tea would be a sweet way to bring a close to the summer, plus fair trade makes the deal even better. So help me cool off, freshen up, and help the world, all with a few sips of tea!

Caroline says …

Raleigh, North Carolina--breaking records here. 102 degrees. Now, that's hot!

karen price says …

Wow! I never USED to drink tea, until I moved to Ohio, (where its hotter than where I came from=Minnesota). I LOVE the peach tea the best. In fact, I bought a case of it last week at the Columbus Whole Foods store!....let me see, hjow many bottles are left??? .......oooooooooooooooooppppppppsssssssssss, gotta go shopping.

Audra says …

Well, in North Carolina it sure has been hot with 100 degree temperatures, and it's not even August!! Nothing is better to cool you off in the South than great-tasting iced tea!

GARY MOSCOE says …

MAN DRINKING SOME TEA REALLY MAKES ME REFRESH AND READY TO GO. GREEN TEA BOTH HOT AND COLD RELAX MY SOUL.

katie miesbauer says …

Oh goodness gracious it has been hot in Denver, Colorado. Folks have been ducking into the nearest AC oasis all over town. And I am no exception... As I sit here, I am sipping on my "Prince of Peace" brewed ice tea. But I would love to skip the boiling water portion of the brewing process, and jump right to the yummyness of green tea! Pick me, pick me!!!! Katie

Linda Wilderman says …

While moving into our handicap accessible house I love to grab a 365 Brand ice tea to cool me off I love that they are low in sugar, and have a great taste. On top of that, they are organic to boot. IA case of 365 organic ice tea would surely be appreciated by everyone helping us get moved in .

Patti S says …

Kansas is sweltering and not even the thunderstorms are bringing relief! A case of tea and a bag of ice would be the perfect solution.

Cheryl Thibeault says …

I love to sit on my deck with a cold iced tea and read and enjoy the sounds of nature. Summer would not be Summer without an iced tea in my hand. It cools me off and keeps me refreshed. To have a whole case on hand would be down right refreshing! There would be enough for me to share with friends and family also. It would be fabulous to win this case of iced tea.
