I've been using i.d. bare escentuals and can't imagine using liquid make-up again. I've tried the drug store versions of mineral makeup and they just don't cut it. I would try this brand, too.

I liked it! I try to use natural products if any and appriciate the knowledge being put out there! I liked that the young lady used her fingers. I hate wedgies or gloves. Thanks!

I can't wait to try this makeup! I've been a Bare Minerals user for years so I'm already a fan of natural makeup. And it's a bonus that Whole Foods is my store already!

Very informative! Thank you.

I agree with the previous comment that it was a bit odd that the makeup artist would use a Q-tip than go over the product with her fingers. I was especially bothers when she wiped her nose with the back of her hand, then applied the eye pencil. That being said. I think that the product looks really good on the model. It really evened out her skin tone. What level of sun protection (SPF) does this product provide? I have very dry skin and need to use a moisturizer. Does the "mist" replace that?

That was a very informative podcast. It makes me wanna run out and buy, and use it tomorrow. I'm addicted to makeup and the fact that this is actually good for your skin is a plus in my book. And even if I fall asleep in it I have nothing to worry about because I won't break out in a zillion zits. Wow! I'm definately sold on this product.....Thanks

Thanks for all the info on Mineral Makeup. I don't want to wear anything else now. I'm going to make a trip to Whole Foods this weekend, to pick up a few things. I really want the facial mist, the sheer foundation and the pencils. Thanks, Christa Jean I found this post on www.makeuplovesme.com

I think that natural cosmetics is something that I'm considering wearing on a daily bases, and also something that I would definatley tell my friends, family, and co-worker's about.

I'm definatly considering wearing natural cosmedics on a daily bases, and I'm going to tell my family, friends, and co-workers about natural cosmetics for sure.

Caryn says …

I used to wear makeup every day and noticed my skin would break out so I stopped. It's interesting to find a makeup that is actually good for my skin and would be better for me than not wearing anything. I've got to try this! Caryn

I think the video was very imformative and there was enough close up's of the models face to get an idea of what steps are needed to create this everyday natural face. I also liked how they used sort of a regular kind of girl to work on and not some girl with completely flawless skin. I would give this make up a try for sure because I too have eneven skin and it really changed how her skin looked after the product was applied.

The podcast is great, but here are a few things I'd love to see: A whole episode devoted to foundation. I just bought the Bare Minerals starter set and found it to be too lightweight to cover the major color unevenness under my eyes and cheeckbone. I also think it feels a little dry as I apply it, even after I apply moisturizer and the primer that comes with the kit. What I've had to do is apply a light layer of liquid foundation, then the Bare Minerals. And I really feel like I have to put on way more than I should to get the color tones even. Is there some other primer I should be using? I really don't want to put so many layers on anymore. Also, I think it would be great if you could just keep the camera close-up on the model's face. Really close up. Otherwise I can't see what the makeup artist is doing! Nor can I see her technique. What was the purpose of the Q-tip? And what did the model's face look like close up before the makeup? It's hard to tell from so far away. I want to see a model with blotchy, uneven skin being transformed into perfect-looking skin. That will make me buy the product. Finally, please have the artist show the items she is using to the camera. I want to see a closeup of the product and the brushes, so I know what to buy if I want to. Looking forward to the next episode!

Being fair-skinned, I have always had trouble with bronzers looking ridiculous on my skin although they always seem to look great on the rest of the world! I think this time we might have a great match using this product as well as technique!!

Becky Tillman says …

I found it helpful to know that you should spritz your face prior to applying mineral makeup. I also liked the setting powder to combat shine!

After trying these mineral makeup products for the first time, I can definitely see the appeal and buzz about "going mineral". As heavyweights like MAC, and Laura Mercier are launching their mineral makeup products, it does seem that a new era is coming!

Hi there, so glad that everyone is enjoying the podcast! Also thanks for any feedback that can make these better. Deelainia, I hear you about the close ups on the products. When I was editing I noted that for the future. Some people have had questios about specific benefits and ingredients: •Helps protect your skin and improve the health and condition of the skin as well •Made from pure rich pigments from the earth •The makeup lays on the surface of the skin and they allow the skin to breathe and function completely normally •All products are infused with vitamins and antioxidants, like White tea, Red tea, Antileukine 6™, and Pomegranate. •No parabens as preservatives. They use natural alternative to parabens. Also there has been a lot of talk about the hydration mist, here is some info: •It is loaded with hyrolaunic-acid, a moisture magnet. •Gives an instant boost of moisture, and refreshes any time of day •Allows the minerals to just lay on the surface and look undetectable in the skin Please continue to let us know about your questions and feedback - Mara

Jen Gaum says …

Hi Everyone! This is Jen Gaum the makeup artist from the podcast again. The response to mineral fusion has been amazing and I hope you are loving the makeup. Please keep asking questions and I will try to answer as many as I can! If you need more coverage from the makeup you can always use the sheer tint first to neutralize any discoloration. You can apply a small amount of the appropriate color with your finger tips. It acts like a tinted face primer and neutralizes any unevenness on the face. Then you can apply either the pressed base or the loose base over top to add more coverage. Remember, the longer the hair is on the brush the more sheer the coverage will be. The blender brush will provide a sheer coverage. The flawless brush gives a medium coverage and the kabuki brush will give a fuller coverage. Also the pressed base is good for all skin types and the loose base is better for a drier skin. It tends to be a little darker in color and fuller in coverage then the pressed. If you need to brighten up underneath the eye area be sure to use one of our concealers. Each shade comes with a light and dark color so you can customize to get an exact match. Apply a small amount of the light and dark with the camouflage brush to the dark shadow. It is very moisturizing and will brighten up the under eye perfectly. Don't forget to use touch eye pencil in the lower inside rim of the bottom eye. This will neutralize any redness and brightens up a tired eye. I use the q tip when I do someone else's makeup. I especially love it around the eye area. It allows me to get into hard to get into areas without lifting the eye lid with my thumb. Enjoy!

I like the make-up concept, but I thought the pod-cast was a bit droll, repetative and didn't really show me how to apply the make-up. A before and after shot might have helped. I'm not even sure the interviewer was necessary. The model should have had her hair out of the way. I like how natural the lips, eyes looked. The foundation worked, but isn't it usually applied prior to the eye-shadow? The application of the eye-shadow colors wasn't clear enough. Sorry!
