I always bring the fruit salad to a summer party. If I have plenty of time on my hands, I serve it in a carved-out watermelon.

I love to serve taco salad, buffet style. All the items can be prepared before hand, and every one gets to make it the way they like it.

When I have to feed a big crowd for parties, I like to design a menu around foods that can be prepared ahead of time. A taco bar is always perfect! Who doesn't like tacos?!!

Synonymous with hosting at my place is my homemade guacamole. Flavors of fresh cilantro, garlic, and ripe avocado pair perfectly with fresh corn tortilla chips and set the mood for a relaxing, casual get together. Another essential is some fresh bruschetta with some diced tomatoes, red onions from my garden, basil & garlic - YUM. Another favorite go-to is brie cheese & water crackers or a french baguette. My mouth is watering... Keep it simple and minimize prep so that relaxation & socializing may be maximized. Now where did I put the beer opener...

I like a mix of dips, like hummus, salsa or bruschetta. They're quick and easy. Also, can't go wrong with a cheese dish and some veggies.

Bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with gorgonzola cheese are my favorite party food! They take a little work, but are a real crowd-pleaser! I would love a party basket for the post-bar exam party I plan on having!

Fun with friends and family is always a plus, especially when we add cut fruit and some good cheese... and end the night with some form of coffee - taking time to soak in important moments!

My "signature" party dish is fresh guacamole with lots of chunky ripe tomato and diced sweet onions (and of course lime, garlic, cilantro, and just a touch of chile pepper since I am a wimp when it comes to heat.) But the best part is making it in my authentic Mexican molcajete. :)

The last time I had people over for a house warming party I put a nacho bar out on the counter and it was a big hit! I was able to sit back and enjoy myself while everyone else helped themselves to food. The best part was that clean-up was easy. I recommend Food for Lovers Vegan Queso, organic tortilla chips, soyrizo, black olives, fresh guacamole, variety of salsas, black beans and Tofutti sour cream.

Organic fruits in their own skins work well as decorations, and can always be consumed by those hungry for sweets. Organic veggies make delicious snacks and salads. The fresher the better. The baked goods, such as pie, breads and deserts make any holiday extra special. Hot fun in the summertime! Thank you for all the quality foods and service.

I am the hummus queen! I am always in charge of the veggie tray, and veggies really need hummus to be dipped into, don't they? Sometimes I might get crazy and bring Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Chips...once I just popped a whole lot of popcorn and tossed it with seasoning (kettle corn with cinnamon is delicious).
