I love a variety of grilled veges (something about the charred flavor they get only on a grill) with grilled salmon- perfect for that hot summer evening. Plus left over grilled veges added with feta/goat cheese make for a great pasta salad for lunch the next day.

Grilling! Fresh corn on the cob! Soak corn in cold water with the husk on for 1 hour. Pull down the husk but do not remove it, remove the hair, rub butter and sprinkle with herbs and garlic salt. Pull the husk back in place and take one piece of husk to tie the end of the replaced husk in place. Grill over hot coals for about 1/2 hour, turning to keep from burning. Pair this with anything you want, but it doesn't get much better than this! Enjoy!

For the past several years, each Sunday during the Summer my husband and I host "Sun Day Fun Day" in our back yard, pool side. At the beginning of the summer, I create a calendar and send it out our family and friends who we love spending time with. Each week is a different "theme". We typically provide the main course and a "speciality drink" and ask who ever is coming to bring a side dish or dessert. Some examples of our Fun Day Sun Day Theme's are: *Summer Garden Party (grilled salmon salad - Sweet Tea Vodka with sun tea & a splash of lemonade) *Christmas in July (traditional sides, grilled turkey tenderloin & cranberry cocktails) *Hair of the Dog Sunday (Hot dogs & beer!) *4th of July Luau (pineapple and brown sugar chicken legs - my infamous mai-tai's) *Wish We Were in Cabo (Cabo Chicken - google Le Ann Rimes Cabo Chicken - it's to die for & Cabo Wabo Margaritas) *Let's Thai one on (grilled shrimp & veggies in a panang curry sauce & Zen-tinis) This is a great way to spend a relaxing day with friends and family and it's how WE make OUR Summer Sizzle!!

As soon as the temperature hits 90 degrees, I do not cook in my kitchen. It's too hot!!!! Everything is done on the grill till mid-September. One of my favorites to grill is fish. I love the harpoon caught swordfish. It melts in your mouth like butter after being grilled. Grilled bok choy makes a wonderful side dish.

Best grilling food ever is my mom's vietnamese pork slice or beef cube. She uses a combination of asian spices and so far everyone loves it. Either she thinly slice pork and marinated it with soy sauce and lemongrass or her famous beef cubes marinated in soy sauce and oyster sauce then put on a skewer and thrown on the grill. The best part is the burnt edges. Yum!

Kabobs are the best - especially for family get-togethers! Create a group of foods - meats (pork, chicken, salmon, tofu, scallops, shrimp), veggies (asparagus, zucchini, peppers, onions, mushrooms), fruits (pineapple, tomato), and sauces (pesto, BBQ, teriyaki, olive oil, jerk), and then let the kabob building begin! It's so delicious, healthy, and easy to make! There's something for everyone!

Nothing beats sitting out in the yard listening to the radio, enjoying a warm summer night with a cool drink and a master griller at the helm. I can't resist a well grilled steak. Season that bad boy up and let let it sizzle until the inside is juicy and the outside a light toasty brown. Granted most grill nights consist of whatever we have on hand, so the results are a mix bag of concoctions, but always delicious! A well seasoned grill and a dedicated grillmaster makes just about anything taste divine!

We grill year round and in all kinds of weather. It is worth every effort to BBQ. Foods take on a whole different taste when grilled, we have made it a family affair and one of the four of us is helping make dinner at least once a week.

We use our grill whenever possible in the Summer - mostly for vegetables. We love the taste and flavor the grill ads to some of our favorites - corn, zuccini, and even fruit!
